Map Description

  1. BLOODxcrazer
    Welcome to Home Wrecker! This minigame really pushes the limits of Halo 5's forge. How? The entire tower you see above (besides the framework) is made of blocks set to normal physics.

    The gametype is infection based with one life. One infected player flies a phaeton to crash through the building, splattering, shooting, or knocking off the survivors. The survivors must do anything they can to stay off the ground to survive.

    The survivors can pick up a Hydra Launcher or a SPNKR Rocket Launcher and use their starting Assault Rifles and SMGs to fight back. Sounds easy right? Not exactly. The Hydra and Rockets are on the upper floors, and the survivors start at the bottom. If you can somehow manage to reach the rocket launcher before the phaeton demolishes the floors to get there, then kudos to you.

    Unfortunately with this much normal physics objects there is a significant framerate drop with large lobbies. However as the round progresses the framerate improves. I've already dumbed down the map a lot to improve it and I don't want to to delete more but let me know what you think of it and I'll try my best to improve it.

    hello, nice map, i'va just test it and i recommend you to put death limit when players fall from the top. Also could you add some color to each level ?

    What do you mean by death limit? And i can def play around with colors and see how it looks!

    So the group I ran with suggested that survivors should spawn at the top of a taller tower, and make the bottom 3 floors inaccessible. The tower itself could be made thinner. We think the main columns on the edges of the tower should also be thinner. More color is needed; perhaps make every floor a different color? If we fall off the tower, we should die immediately. We also need to have the zombie respawn in case of death, or have the round end if it dies. I would like the zombie have to kill via knocking the players off, and not rely on the weapons of the Phaeton.

    I appreciate the feedback, but the changes you are suggesting are extremely similar to jenga. I intended to make something more like a boss battle, where the players have a fighting chance to defeat the boss. The phaeton weapons have been weakened but they are still somewhat effective to encourage the phaeton to knock away cover to get clear shots at the survivors. Also, there are plenty of situations where the survivors can never be knocked off (just stand on a support beam). There is nothing I can do with the zombie respawning situation until the proper changes are made to the infection gametype. Unfortunately the round won't end if the zombie is killed, and for some reason having players respawn as spectating infected caused a barrage of issues. As for the soft kill at the bottom, that allows for the infected to knock out the base floor, plus the survivors get a chance to hop back up. The only two changes I can consider are making the tower thinner and changing the color. However I highly doubt I'd get around to making the tower thinner, because it would require me to remake the entire map (normal physics problems). If I get around to it I can see what colors look nice (I personally like the dull look but you aren't the only person who suggested a color change).

    No I seem to be done with it seeing as adding any physical objects will only make the framerate worse. I may make gametype changes tho

    I know it's been a very long time since I made this map but I thought I'd revisit it and make it bearable in smaller customs lobbies. Framerate is still awful with a full lobby so keep lobbies small (like 12 or under)

    Yo, it was great blood but frame rate was so bad for everyone, plus I don't think we went a round with everyone dying, maybe increase number of infected, so a second phaeton. All in all great man! Love some of your work
