"High Wall" is an asymmetrical, castle map built for 2-versus-2 engagements. It is reminiscent of a bridgework map with solid islands of terrain and block mass. Movement on the bottom provides players with cover from up high and multiple paths to ascend, including jumps and a one-way, bonfire teleporter. The death pit in the center is punishing to players who fall, but balconies are present to catch the wary. There are two notable positions of height: one above red initial spawn on a tower ledge, and the other beside blue initial spawn on a roof above a stairwell. Items of interest include a binary rifle, speed boost, a brute plasma rifle, and a gravity hammer.
Visually the map is reminiscent of "Dark Souls," highlighting "Dark Souls 3" with the level "High Wall of Lothric." The mountains are ash-colored; there is high contrast between light and shaded areas; the air is littered with embers.
As an experience, "High Wall" is some cheeky nonsense with a layered design and an unusual weapon set.
