That was a neat effect. Have you considered fussing with the sound effects to give the whole process a little more impact?
We tried adding a siren that goes off when you press the keypad but the radius on the sound boxes are not large enough nor loud enough to tell the player what is happening but we also thought about changing the lights in the map to show the doors had opened. Is there anything we can work on that you see needs some more attention?
Yah the volume and falloff for the sound effects needs to be adjustable. That being said, what's to stop you from creating the sound effect at multiple places over the map. A siren would be pretty easy as most people would expect it to come from everywhere. Other sounds would require a more creative placement and dispersal pattern to seem more authentic. Sounds that represent the door opening would be cool. If you do the sounds right, and also maybe make creative visual aids, you could potentially remove the more blatant gravity volume visual effect. (kill normal lighting, engage emergency lighting?) As for more of the map as a whole I can't comment on playability right now since I have nobody to play with. You can thank 343 and their brilliant decision to omit split screen for that. I usually just rely on my friends for playtesting, but now I have been asking the community to no avail. Sorry I couldn't help more. Keep doing the vids so I and others can at least give 'some' map feedback, even though we aren't playtesting.
