(Newly updated)
Halo Royale is exactly what it sounds like. 16 players, one big map, a fight to the finish. Halo royale features totally randomized loot from a completely custom weapon pad loot pool with 40 custom weapons via weapon pad glitch. Press the keypads to have a randomized Weapon/grenade dropped at your feet.
Vending machines sometimes gift the player with ammo restocks, grenades, or power ups.
Whenever you respawn you’re able to select a drop point. You slide across the sky and groundpound wherever you’d like to land. There’s a 45 second grace period from the beginning of the game allowing players ample time to strategize and gear up.
The latest feature added to the map is global supply drops. Every 2 minutes, a pelican drops a supply crate with powerful weapons to key locations on the map. There's also a small chance it will gift the player a 'Legendary orb' that you can use to summon Very powerful weapons at the forerunner tower.
Although it is battle royale there’s a few differences on the decisions I had to make to ensure the mode is satisfying. Since halo 5s scripts seem to have issues whenever new rounds start on script heavy maps, I had to keep it at one round. You’ll have multiple lives but with a hefty respawn timer to punish player death. Since I was unable to figure out a way around not being able to script kill boundaries, in order to keep the map competitive I implemented a scoreing zone that shrinks every so often. Point intervals increase as time goes on and the boundary shrinks.
Give it a shot with your friends and aim to win!
