Guilty Spark Survival

Infection

Map Description

  1. PichuFrenzy
Guilty Spark Survival is basically a 5 rooms map where humans have to progress through to get better weapons and survive the 5 minutes round.

With this map I tried to reuse the concept of the map Survive the underground and apply it to a map based on the level 343 Guilty Spark of Halo CE. I really wish I could expand the map with more rooms but the object and script limits are saying otherwise.

The map supports 16 players but has only been tested with 8 players (it's hard to find people wanting to play customs in this game eh). The map might be a bit hard for humans but the gametype has been tweaked to try to keep a balance between the constant flow of infected players and the damage output of humans.

Detailed walkthrough of the map with illustrations and gametype link below:

Humains spawn in the middle of a small forest placed at the entrance of the flood facility. The infected player will either spawn on the right or the left of the human group.

The entrance of the facility can't be missed if your are walking straight in front of you as you spawn.

After crossing the main corridor, players will end up in the second room of the map.

Here players will find the elevator room with some promethean weapons. To continue though the map, players will have to interact with an holographic panel.

This will trigger the closure of the main corridor's gate. Once closed, the elevator will start to go down.

Infected players will start to spawn inside the air vents of the elevator and drop on human players. This is the part where most humans will get infected.

The elevator will reach the third room of the map and players will be invited to go towards a smaller room with more weapons and another holographic panel.

Interacting with the panel will give all players 10 seconds to get inside this room before closing its front door and then opening its back door.
Next step will be the light bridge room.

Humans will have to activate three consecutive light bridges to be able to reach the other side of the room. Infected players will spawn under the light bridges and can reach humans with their sword lunge by simply jumping. There are two gravity lifts under the first door to get back on top if a human player happens to fall. Infected players can also use these lifts.

The last holographic panel will open the door to the final room. In this final room, players will find a lot of heavy weapons which will be needed to survive until the end of the round.

I was wondering if you could do a reverse version of the map. Where survivors must escape.

I was actually planning to reverse the map at the middle of a round once the humans reach the final room but my scripting budget was already very close to 512/512.
But reversing the maps in a different version could be nice. I will think about it when I'm out of forging ideas!
