"The Covenant controls this Forerunner AA-Gun, we can't risk to land. Retrieve the remote from the Phantom and deactivate it, Spartan!" was the order a few minutes ago.

You fought viscously, Pelican against Phantom, both aircrafts got damaged heavily and you hit the side of a rock...

Grunt Hunt is a campaign mission, in which you find yourself on Halo in this steep, rocky jungle environment.
There are a few covenant troops remaining trying to hinder you from obtaining the remote, just take care of them, Spartan.

With unusual checkpoints at the beginning of the map, environmental storytelling and a completely encompassing, natural world, this jumping campaign mission is something to behold.

Once again, I tried to implement intertwined level design, which was a challenge with an environment like this and the limitations of Forge (e.g. no variable rocks).
I previously talked about the initial checkpoint system, which helped me highlight key points of the map and give the player a better understanding of where they are. Don't want to give anything away, though.

Eventually, the player reaches a Forerunner complex, which welcomes you with its warm colours. I wanted it to be a strong contrast to the rest of the map:

Anyway, have fun! Here are some more screenshots:

Loving the atmosphere on this one as well as the great layering of foreground and background rocks. Definitely a unique environment.
