Sort of like a mix of Grifball and Ricochet, Football is a tug-of-war sportsball gamemode that pits teams of 4 or larger against each other.

Everyone spawns with a Gravity Hammer and Plasma Pistol. Plasma Pistols deal reduced damage and damage resistance is higher to make sure most kills aren't coming from the Plasma Pistol. The Gravity Hammer damage is increased to make up for the extra Damage Resistance, allowing for it to still be a single hit kill.

Spartan Charging deals minimal damage, but has an increased knock-back. This lets players give others and themselves space from their opposition and gives yourself extra breathing room.

The Ball Carrier has increased shields and Damage Resistance, but decreased speed. To make up for the decreased speed, the Ball Carrier has 5 usable Thrusts instead of 2, but these are also at a reduced rate. This allows for the Ball carrier to juke and dodge opposing players.

The Ball Carrier speed is decreased to emphasize teamwork. Passing the ball forward and guarding your Carrier are both excellent techniques that can be used to bring your team ahead.

You are able to throw the ball into the Field Goal for 2 points, or run it into the endzone for 3. Throwing the ball into the Endzone does not work and will cause the ball to reset.

The first team to 10 Points wins the game.
