Introduction
Originally before beginning to make this map, I really wanted to nail down a room based map that played a bit differently than most. I wanted to attempt to blur the lines between a room based forge map, and a room based developer map.

Making Genome
The beginnings of this map had me constantly looking at layouts of chill out and cold storage, as well as some room based forge maps. I spent a decent amount of time trying to figure out what made these maps good and ultimately came up with this layout on some paper.
Looking at this layout, it for the most part stayed quite similar with the exception of the teleporters getting cut, adding in some extra platforms, and filling in the bottom room.

Nerdy Stuff
With this map, I really wanted to have some spots that would help players that know what they are doing get around the map quicker, and also have some sneaky spots that could get some crazy sightlines. Here are those.

Weapon Layout
For the weapon layout, I really wanted the map to be free of any weapons some players may find “cheap” or such. The only power weapon on the map is a sniper rifle, so if you wanna win on this map, you better be good with it.

Supported Gametypes
Currently, Genome supports Team Slayer, FFA, Strongholds, and Oddball, with 8 players maximum.
