This map was fantastic fun to playtest in 8v8 - but truly shined later, in 4v4. While on the surface it's a simple symmetrical map, the ease of learning it belies its true depth and complexity. Frost was easily one of the best maps we played during SZR iParanormal's weekly stream.

The layout is really simple, but the choice of Forge pieces to build it is about as perfect as you can get. The rocks contrast with the terrain well enough to give players a very visual sense for the map's pathing, and the central walkway offers plenty of cover. There was little favoritism for certain pathways, which means each gives a compelling reason to be there. Not to mention that the Forerunner styling is about perfect - not overdone, but just ornate enough to really get the point across.

Only three minor issues I noticed. First, the Battle Rifles spawn on the wrong side of their respective pillars. It took people longer than it should to notice them. Second, the Overshield spawn was a little hidden - my suggestion would be to replace the 24x24x24 blocks with ramps up to the OS, so that it's more noticed. Third, it seems a better trickjumper than myself could probably get out of the map by jumping up to the rings by Big Tower. You should probably put some sort of kill boundary or invisible blockers along the top of the map, to prevent that kind of thing from breaking it if possible.

Overall - Frost doesn't do anything exceptionally, but it does almost everything well. Provided the little tweaks I mentioned are made, it's a worthy download and one of the maps worth remembering in the first assortment of Halo 5 Forges.

I look forward to seeing what maps you create in the future - you clearly have a lot of talent.
