Map Description

  1. thrillerkillers
    Truly a map that many may wish to visit in real life. The attention to detail and beauty does not in the least detract from play-ability. You find yourself in the quarters of what was once the residence of a great lord over the earth. From 2v2, to 4v4, to possibly even a chaotic 6v6, this map offers red vs blue slayer, strongholds, and an innovative style of neutral flag. If the serene atmosphere of the inner chambers, or the rustic quality of the outer ruins dont steal your attention away from your enemy, you will find a very competitive match.

    This is long overdue. I have played this map a lot and it became a favorite in my private lobbies. The map feels very immersive and the competition that comes with it truly shows off how the author pushes the limit in this powerful Halo 5 Forge! Well done!

    This map has stunning visuals and provides a variety of playspaces suitable for different styles of gameplay. Excellent job!

    This is so damn cool ! The aesthetic is absolutly awesome... Incredible... It seems to be played very well, I think I'll download this one to try it later and maybe comeback with ideas or not (I think it's well forged enough to not have a lot of feedback)...

    I see a little of Tomb Raider with the ruins on a beach ! ;)

    Your map looks aesthetically beautiful! Gamplay wise, the map plays very nicely and flows like a dream. My only gripe is in the main area when I've noticed the game get alittle glitchly, when walking past. I don't know what causes it. However, I would love to see this place make it into Machmaking.

    I'm on your map at the moment, it's too bad we can see all this empty space of the Forge sometimes... I just hide it with a big rock and detailed its with some trees, it's cool...

    I have just one thing to say about the gameplay... The 2 bases are really too close to each other. It's just a suggestion, but where you put the flag, you should hide the stairs with large walls of bricks which will appear only in CTF gametype. This, or just move the flag spawn to the center of the base room, between all the stairs, just under the chandeliers.

    In my opinion, the wall is a better idea, 'cause the teleporter is a 2 ways teleporter. Anybody could take the teleporter from outside to comeback to his base really quickly. These walls in a CTF gametype or Bomb, could force the players to have a better defense of their teamates, and force to play as a team.

    You still have 4 pieces to place on your map, so you can do it really easily.

    EDIT : I noticed more problems. It's difficult to explain it but I'll try to do my best.

    1. Okay so, in the blue base, you have a chandelier. You put it a little higher than the one in the red base, but it's not enough. You can still climb on it and after that, there is a little flat rock where you can jump. It's not possible to do it in the red base of course, so there's a problem of equality here. But the problem is worst when you see that you can climb the rock again, then the piece of wood and go outside of the map. You need to put an invisible wall here.

    2. You put a terminal base on the roof, in the top of where the hammer spawn. This terminal prevents to the Spartan to up the middle of the stairs beside the teleporter without crouching. I think you should up the terminal a little.

    3. You can go outside of the map in the Sniper side. A dash and a ground pound from the teleporter allow Spartan to go outside of the map. You should just delete all the death zone, add a security frag limit in all the map, then add death zone in the river, under the Sniper.

    4. The bridge in the middle of the map is really difficult to climb. I make changes on it and now I can jump and climb on it everywhere. Maybe you could also take the invisible wall of the bridge, and all the parts of the bridge to go down the entire bridge a little and make it easier to climb on it.

    5. There's decoration in the Hammer zone, the roof is nice, but the barriers on the roof prevent the Spartan to make a jump easily and why not, dash to the bridge. I deleted it and make a larger roof to merge it to the rock.

    I made some changes in the environment, deleted some part to have a smoother gameplay, the parts 1 and 3 haven't been changed in the map where I am at the moment, I will save it and send it to you in MP if you want to see the changes in the aethetic of the environment. I mainly just hide the wide open empty area of the forge map with big rocks and detailed them with trees.

    Really nice job anyway !

    some of the map reminded me of Guardian, which was really cool.

    yeah, there was some issues with the grass and the glass mixing together. I got rid of all the grass in the water except one, which I cannot select anymore for some reason (i wish 343 would fix that issue). But it causes a little frame rate drop unfortunately.


    and thanks for the compliment! I would love to see it in matchmaking too haha.

    Just implemented most of your suggestions, thank you very much for the help! the only thing I did not do was making the bases further, I would have to redo the entire map, and I dont think it will happen. Also, I did not do te wall idea, simpyl because I do not have the buget, but the teleporter doesnt spawn on CTF any way, so that should not be an issue
