This map is one of the BEST BTB experiences in Halo 5. In fact, I am literally upset right now as I am writing this because I am mad jelly - it really is a gem of a map that plays well. I thought about writing a proper, elaborate review that uses fancy words and excellent grammar, but really, take my word for it, get a group of 8v8 players, and just play the damn map for yourself to experience the fun - it really is a blast - oh , it also has an AA wraith (and it is one of the few maps that can pull it off) so...
Fossil is an experience everyone in Halo should have! Nothing in Halo 5 has played like this for me! Every location is well represented, each location is fun, the flow is right on point, and I love the theme. The theme is ripped out of the best parts of reach. The human theme with an invasive covenant presence is so much fun! The author did a fantastic job and worked very hard to bring us one of the best BTB experiences in Halo. This map gets played back to back to back in my lobbies. Well done.
Solid initial design for gameplay and with upcoming changes for performance I’m confident this might turn out as one of your best.I can say though this map is fun to me and looks great during the action too.Well done good sir.
