Map Description

  1. INFINUT
    Covenant air ship dropped one of their AA turret directly on the bridge causing a highway shutdown.. of which was the only way in or out so...

    Insired by Halo Reach’s Tip Of The Spear
    This map takes a familiar reach feel and places it here in Halo 5
    The big broken bridges and giant covenant turret provide good cover for infantry to move through and around as well as for the vehicles
    The area has something for all players to enjoy including some long sight lines for the sniper, tight spaces for your shotguns, boken bits for some interesting angles and jumps, plenty of space for vehicles and much more
    Halo 5 has a sandbox and its in here!
    Lots of weapons! Lots of vehicles! Oh and my favorite lots of turrets! You will notice the Railgun, H2 Covenant sniper and the Spartan laser. Vehicular love here you will notice the normal BTB goodness but look for a couple of specific toys, the Mantis in your base and the covenant AA wraith!
    Also turrets turrets turrets.. 2 plasma turrets on the covenant turret, chainguns in the base, baserker claw in the cave next to 2 covenant shade turrets.. enjoys the sounds of silence.. just kidding it’s very loud!
    Best played for Capture The Flag
    Also supports strongholds, slayer and assault

    This map is one of the BEST BTB experiences in Halo 5. In fact, I am literally upset right now as I am writing this because I am mad jelly - it really is a gem of a map that plays well. I thought about writing a proper, elaborate review that uses fancy words and excellent grammar, but really, take my word for it, get a group of 8v8 players, and just play the damn map for yourself to experience the fun - it really is a blast - oh , it also has an AA wraith (and it is one of the few maps that can pull it off) so...

    Fossil is an experience everyone in Halo should have! Nothing in Halo 5 has played like this for me! Every location is well represented, each location is fun, the flow is right on point, and I love the theme. The theme is ripped out of the best parts of reach. The human theme with an invasive covenant presence is so much fun! The author did a fantastic job and worked very hard to bring us one of the best BTB experiences in Halo. This map gets played back to back to back in my lobbies. Well done.

    Solid initial design for gameplay and with upcoming changes for performance I’m confident this might turn out as one of your best.I can say though this map is fun to me and looks great during the action too.Well done good sir.

    ^This map plays better than his map ^
    Srs though, when we were making Ancestor, you might have people playing it 2 times, but with this map we got people (me) wanting to play CTF 3 times in a row easily.
