Flooded

Infection

Map Description

  1. S117 warfare
(Backstory) Set post human-covenant war, a fireteam of Spartans is set out to investigate an anomaly in a mine close to a capitol city. They arrive at the mine only to find out that the Flood has returned.

Flooded is an infection map with varying sightlines, you can end up in long range, medium range, and short range combat. Since I made the flytgrough in the youtube vid, I polished some parts up. The map features the following weapons:
    1x Magnum
    2x Shotgun
    1x Silenced SMG
    1x Covenant Carbine
    1x Brute Plasma Rifle
    1x Endgame Spartan Laser
    1x Plasma Grenade

I'm not sure how it plays but from the look of it I love the atmosphere of the non lit caves and areas, however the lit areas need some aesthetic work. I couldn't tell you how the game play is but I hope the well lit areas are not OP. We could always use more flood themed maps though.

We play tested the map multiple times with varying party sizes. Out of personal experience i can say that the map plays great and that the well lit area's are not OP. When i made the map i held the multiple angles of assault in the back of my head. Also what do you mean by the aesthetic work for the well lit area's? I'm taking every advise that i get into really high consideration sjnce this is my first "REAL" forge map

Also since i made the flytgrough vid I updated the map to make it a bit more polished, haven't had any time yet to post a newer vid though

Well it looks like you are going for a distressed human UNSC theme. I do not think the shielded objects and color match it as well as it could, I would try making a control panel like object out of primitives(so they can be textured) use Cairo station from halo 2 as a reference for the style you would probably want but make it damaged (grime filter on some areas) and use red lights with the some effects to make it look like an alarm is sounded, maybe even add the alarm sound in that area.
