Map Description

   Firebase Tononoka was the temporary command post for UNSC forces operating in Tononoka District during the Battle of New Mombasa. The towering service buildings surrounding the urban highways provided excellent cover against Covenant air support, and formed ready-made firing lanes for the defenders.
   
   Now, you too can fight on a recreation of this bloody battlefield. Firebase Tononoka is a symmetrical map for two-team Strongholds and Slayer. There's a stretch of highway just asking for some vehicular manslaughter, set in contrasting combination with a grid of close-quarters alleyways for infantry combat.
   
   This map is inspired by the New Mombasa levels of Halo 2, and by Halo 3: ODST, as well as Titanfall's map "Rise".
   
   No special gametypes are required, but the map explicitly does not support CTF or Assault.

   A complete map rebuild has brought Firebase Tononoka closer to the original map vision.
