Map Description

  1. PhoenixVax
    This is my first map in Halo 5. The initial idea was to create a map with a Two Betrayal setting. In Glacier I found some lakes at the borders of the canvas and I modeled my map on them. I wanted strong aesthetics, so I decided to make it a 2v2 map. I'm waiting for your feedback, hope you enjoy!

    I noticed you have sound emitters covering some spaces on the map. Sound emitters block grenades for some reason, so I would recommend you move some of them.


    Edit: I also noticed some frame rate drops in the top mid hallway.

    You definitely nailed the Halo CE Forerunner look! I watched the video, and when the classic soundtrack kicked in I started having flashbacks of Two Betrayals!

    Thanks a lot for your feedback and your appreciation! The sound emitters thing is only in Forge, in Customs is all ok. For the framerate in top mid I tried to find a solution but I couldn't. I might try again in the next weeks!

    Thanks so much! I played a lot with these things. Also, if you look at the name of the map and at its description, it should remind you of the Two Betrayals segment "The final run", where "Under cover of night" kicks.

    Ah ok, I didn't know that about the sound emitters. I really hope you figure out how to fix the frame rate though, it's kind of jarring.

    Yeah, I know... I think I have to rebuild the mid structure with less pieces, but I think it's almost impossible. I hope I'll figure out too...

    Yeah, forge is a drug... I can't wait to have the time to forge again. From February for 3 months I'll have to stay in an other city for university... I return every weekend and building a map requires a lot of time, so it's impossible for me to forge. I'm looking forward to may!
