    STORY-

After returning to his own universe at the end of Part 2, Dr. Tim is tired from a hard day's work, and ready to go home.

    However, upon leaving the facility:

Dr. Tim soon discovers that spiders from the other universe have invaded his own:

Now it's up to Dr. Tim to save the world by stopping these menacing creatures. But more importantly, Dr. Tim doesn't want to get written up by his boss so he hopes to tidy all this up before anyone else notices what's going on.

See if you can find and kill all 15 spiders, scattered around 3 areas, in this grand adventure.

There are 3 main ways of killing spiders: using explosives, using items as weapons, and using the environment.

Keep an eye out for these red doors with numbers on them:

There's a built in system that keeps track of how many spiders you've killed, and these doors open once you have killed the number of spiders posted on them.

There are 6 spiders in area 1:

    5 spiders in area 2:

And 4 spiders in area 3:

    MAP INFO-

    Name: Dr Tim's Spider Invasion

    Gamertag: A Squid Loaf

Players: 1-5 (It's possible to play with more but not recommended as it becomes hard to keep track of what's been done)

Gametype: Slayer with unlimited time, and fast respawns. (You can use my gametype Puzzle Mode if you don't feel like making your own)

    Important Notes:

    1) There are fewer red X's this time around (but still some) because I've made it so most things you can interact with are more noticeable, so move around and crouch if you think you can interact with something. For example, when using a weapon on a spider, walk up to it's head and crouch to interact with it.

    2) You don't have to kill all the spiders in one area to move on to the next. For example, there's 6 spiders in area 1, but you only need to kill 3 spiders to move on to area 2. You can always come back later to get the ones you missed.

    3) So, the boss is really hard. Really really hard. Most people probably won't be able to defeat it (challenge accepted?) but the good news for people who can't do it or get tired of trying, is that you can kill all 15 spiders and get into the last door without beating the boss.

    4) Finding 12 spiders and defeating the boss is the main "story" part of the map, I consider the 15-door the bonus area on this map.

There are also 2 little easter-egg-type secrets (Hints are in the guide below).

    5) If you would like a hint or full explanation, check the guide posted below. There are spoiler tags so you can look at only the part you need help with.

Recent Reviews

  1. Much like another reviewer has put, most of these spiders are ridiculous to kill in ways me and friends would have only of worked out from the guide and that seemed to ruin the game itself took us more than 4 hours without the guide. in some ways it was fun but in others it was dire, it could have been better. Looking forward to playing the others in the series.
  2. This was a good map for my friends and I had a lot of fun playing. The only things we didn't really like about it is that there's some of the randomest ways to kill some of the spiders that we would've never figured out unless we went to the guide, which is something we didn't want to do, but we didn't want to look around for hours looking for a random object to kill them. Also, some of the spiders were so well hidden that we wouldn't have ever found them without again using the guide. In the end the map was still fun and interesting. After the boss we found the two secret spiders, the banshee, the zombie pig, the upgrade, and also a spot where you can turn your hog black. It took us around 3 hours to completely pass the map and we had a pretty good time.

    10/5,
This man never fails when it comes to making a puzzle!

This is a perfect continuation from Dr. Tim Part 2. Very difficult, but very rewarding once you learn where you went wrong. The hints were a nice touch this time around (as many parts can be frustrating). If you are a fan of puzzles, the Dr. Tim series is perfect for you.

Thank you for making these awesome maps!

    Dr Tim's Spider Invasion Guide

    Area 1-

    Spider 1:

By the destroyed car, you need to pick up something to interact with the gasoline puddle.
Pick up the flaming tire and place it on the fuel puddle (be sure to crouch and look down).

    Spider 2:

In the storage room at the back of the large building with Gausshog and tank, by the shelves. Look for something to interact with in the room.
Jump onto the top of the crate near the door, and crouch to interact with the small crate in order to push the shelves over.

    Spider 3:

In the upstairs of the same building as Spider 2, there's an item and the spider you use it on.
Crouch below the computer on the desk to activate a knob which opens a hidden drawer. Interact with the side of the drawer to pick up the pipe, then head to the room across from you, jump onto the pipes, then onto the tech in the corner, then up into the attic. Use the pipe on the spider in the attic. Both the spider and the pipe have a "6" near them.

    Spider 4:

In the cave with the whale, use an explosive on it (both the explosive and the spider have a "1" next to them.
The cave is behind the building with the 15 door on it, the explosive barrel is in the room with the 3 door, you get to it by interacting with one of the crates.

    Spider 5:

Spider is near the dark red cargo crates by the tunnel, use an explosive on it.
The explosive is located in the cave with a whale, on the other side of the rock from the whale is a hole containing the explosive. To get to the spider, destroy an explosive hidden behind a crate, next to the cargo crates which opens up a way into the cargo crate containing the spider. Both the spider and explosive have a "2" near it.

    Spider 6:

Search the small building (with a garage in back) for a shovel, then look for a mound of snow to dig up.
In the small building, walk through the red chroma disguised as a door and pick up the red key beside the chair. Go to the other red door which is now open and pick up the shovel to the right. Look for a red X near the glacier rock on the hill between the spawning area and the large building with a gausshog inside.

    Area 2-

    Spider 7:

Look for a hidden area along the rock wall on the side that you came in from, you'll need to also find an explosive, not far away.
In the first room after the 3 door, jump onto the console and maneuver through the hidden path to reach an explosive barrel labeled "4" then go outside and go underneath the stairs to find the spider, also marked with a "4"

    Spider 8:

Poking out from a crevice in the middle of the 1st half of area 2, look for something to crush it with.
Follow the jumping path along the right wall of where you first enter the cave, then jump to the middle rock near the ledge which lets you jump up onto the ledge. Once on the ledge, interact with the boulder to push it down onto the spider.

    Spider 9:

In a crevice by two construction lights on the 2nd half of the cave, look for something to crush it with.
Crouch near the back of the construction light to the left to interact with it and push it onto the spider.

    Spider 10:

Hidden behind some rocks in the 2nd half of the cave, find an item to use as a weapon.
From the stairs that lead into the cave, jump onto a series of rocks poking out of the wall to reach a hammer. Use the hammer on the X by the spider in the far corner of the 2nd half of the cave, behind the rocks.

    Spider 11:

Look for an arrow in the area just past the 3-door.
Stand at the top of the stairs that lead down into the cavern and look towards the room where the 3-door leads into. To the right, in the corner is a white arrow decal, stand next to it, jump and clamber onto the hidden opening. Follow the path until you find the spider and a fuel container which you shoot to blow up the spider.

    Area 3-

    Spider 12:

Search inside the building in area 3 for the spider and the item you use to kill it.
Jump onto the white piece of tech on the right side to reach a hidden space between the walls, pick up the yellow key which you use to kill the spider. The spider is in the back room behind the lockers, interact with lockers to move them.

    Spider 13:

On the ground in the fenced area, look around the environment for a way to kill it.
Activate the console in the lab of the building to open up the fenced off area, then activate the machinery by the blue sparks to knock the wire down and onto the spider.

    Spider 14:

Near the rock structure across from the 12 door, look for an item to kill it with.
In the fenced off area, climb on top of the 3 darker blue pieces and drop down near where they touch the fence. A red star with a 5 is hidden between them. Use it on the spider in the cave, which you can access once you shoot a barrel through a hole marked with an arrow on the back side of the rocks. The hole it opens is on the opposite side of where you shoot the barrel from.

    Spider 15:

    Look up high.
To kill the spider on the dish tower, ground pound on the white tech on the back of it, marked with a "D" then back up to where you can get a good view of the spider, then shoot the barrel that fell down on top of it to kill it.

    Boss:

Activate the switch on its back, then the switch that appears on its head.
No real cheat for this, you just have to get the timing down. But here are some tips: You have to be crouched to activate the switches so for the 1st switch, stand on its back then walk crouched up to the switch in the opening you get once per cycle. For the 2nd switch, stand back, then run and thruster boost and land crouched just in front of the switch, again opening only happens once per cycle. For both switches, sit back and watch the deathballs for a bit so you can see when/where each opening is.

    Easter Eggs (Hints only)-

    1: Upgrade

Drive a scout hog into the right spot (invisible teleporter).

    2: Zombie Pig

Once you get the banshee, fly somewhere you could not get to previously. (Somewhere on the map, not below it).

I guess it's a little faulty for me. I can't find any other spider than the first one.
