    Story-

After upgrading his ship in part 4 (Link), Dr. Tim makes the trip to the edge of known space and is now ready for his secret mission.

    Dear Dr. Tim,

Your mission is to find out what happened to the renowned research vessel The Rusty Sprocket. It's last mission was to investigate an asteroid that had just came into the range of known space. The asteroid was giving off strange readings and other phenomenon such as warped space and unconventional gravitational fields.

Do not take any unnecessary risks, we need you to report back with your findings.

P.S. It would seem that a string of burglaries was reported at the space station you recently docked in, hopefully nothing of yours was taken.

    Mechanics-

Note: This map uses a variety of different methods from previous Dr. Tim maps (as well as some new things) so it is strongly recommended that you play the previous maps first before playing this one.

Keep an eye out for these red triangles (below the green cable) which indicate where you can interact with an object:

Also, see if you can find any of these alien bugs (the back of a prophet hologram) which are required to open the bonus areas after the main parts of the map are completed:

    Guide

Part 1: Find the Four Pegs (look at the yellow wheels on the fourth floor for a reference).

    Green:

Look for an interaction (marked by red triangle) on the 2nd floor which has a greenhouse.

Near the stairs on the greenhouse level is a green cart that you must interact with in order to get inside the green house. The interaction button is hidden by the barrels, to reach it walk up the stairs a little ways and drop off onto the barrels and turn around. Once you interact with the cart, it will crash into the door to the greenhouse letting you inside where you'll find the green peg.

    Blue:

Look for a hidden path that leads into the room with a closed green door near the blue and yellow crates.

On the 5th (top) floor, head towards the front of the ship, past the walled-off area with beds, and you'll find some machinery and a vent. Walk into the gap between the machines and the vent and be sure to crouch. Walk up the wall then go left and down and follow the path which leads you into a room containing the blue peg.

    Red:

Look for an interaction (marked by red triangle) on the 5th (top) floor.

On the 5th (top) floor near the back of the ship, head to the crate on the left (when facing the back of the ship) and interact with the red triangle on its side. Follow the path behind the crate that leads into a room and head to the back of the room and jump up onto the roof of the room. On the left side of the fence (facing the front of the ship)
    is the red peg.

    Violet:

On the 3rd floor (the one with the bridge at the front), look for an arrow decal (white triangle) and follow it.

Head to the back of the 3rd floor and go on the left side (facing the back of the ship) of the machinery. Crouch and walk up the side of the machine where you see the white arrow. At the top (while crouched) walk past the wall and activate the switch to open the shaft below you and get the violet peg.

    Part 2: The Explosive

    Step 1:

After getting all 4 pegs and opening the back room on the 4th floor, go inside and look for an item that you will use somewhere else on the ship.

Inside the room you'll find a hammer on one of the shelves, pick it up (interact with the red triangle) and head to the bottom floor. Use the hammer on the vent below the stairs at the back of the ship, just below the room with windows. Once inside the vent, make your way through the path and look for another red triangle to interact with at the top of the 2nd vent, on the left side of the ledge.

    Step 2:

Inside the room on the bottom floor, build an explosive barrel by selecting the 4 pieces in the right order.

Select the pieces in the following order: 1) The bottom piece of the barrel 2) The gun powder 3) the charge/middle section 4) the top of the barrel. (Going from the left to right the correct order is 2-1-3-4)

Be sure to interact with the switch on the correctly built barrel in order to "pick it up."

    Step 3:

Look for the right spot to place the explosive barrel, it has been marked by a symbol this whole time.

The red rectangle with a yellow stripe down the middle represents the explosive barrel, it's located on the 4th floor next to the cargo container and crates. Interact with the red triangle now on top of the barrel symbol to place the explosive and then shoot it.

    Step 4:

Jump on the wreckage and lost items from the ship that are now floating in space to reach the asteroid. Don't get discouraged, there is a teleporter on the other side so you only have to complete it once.

Not much I can tell you here, but a good tip is to jump, thruster, then ground pound onto each piece, and don't forget to try clambering if you miss or accidentally step off one of the pieces.

    Part 3: The Cave

    Step 1:

    Look up.

Search for 3 blue barrels hidden in the top sections of the cave.

1: With your back to the cave entrance, look in the back right corner near the ceiling of the cave. Stand in the opposite corner by the wall of the structure to get a good view of it.

2: With your back to the cave entrance, go into the middle of the rock columns and look up and to the right for a sideways barrel just above an open space between a pillar and a large stalactite, this one is the lower then the other 2.

3: With your back to the cave entrance, go to the left and turn around midway to the structure and look up into the crevice above you, the barrel is near the back of the crevice.

    Step 2:

Once you have destroyed all 3 barrels, the large cylinder raises up. Stand on the platform and look at the symbol to figure out what it means.

While standing on the platform, look just below your radar and a little to the left of it, the named location is "Underbridge" which lets you know that you need to go underneath the bridge. The small cylinder on a platform beneath the bridge is now raised up. Under the small cylinder is a switch that opens the door to the next part.

Part 4: Inside the Red Structure (The next 3 rooms after the cave)

    Room 1:

Note: because of issues with forge itself, the square pieces sometimes get misaligned after multiple interactions with the switches, so to fix this hit the reset button behind the 4 colored switches to reset the puzzle)

Rotate the pieces to make 2 distinct shapes.

You have to form 2 diamond shapes out of the square pieces, from reset hit the blue, yellow, and white switches once to complete the puzzle. Once completed, the door below the 4 switches opens up so hop down and turn around to get to the next step.

    Room 2:

Destroy all 6 barrels in order to defeat the boss.

    Some tips:

    1) Pressing the switch to open the door resets the barrels so you must complete the boss battle in a single attempt.

    2) There is a timed kill barrier in the air so only jump when you have to get over one of the walls.

    3) Try returning to one of the corners after shooting a barrel or two to regain some time for the timed kill boundary, the corners allow you to jump over both walls at the same time minimizing the amount of time in the air and therefore the amount of time in the timed kill boundary.

Once you destroy all 6 barrels, the front of the boss opens up and the fires will go out. The walls and timed kill boundary remain, however, you can stand in the doorway (since the door and switch despawn) and shoot the barrel inside the compartment to destroy the boss and move on to the next room.

    Room 3:

You have to find your way up to two of the corner areas at the top, one contains a red switch that opens the door, the other contains the door you need to go through.

To get to the corner with the red switch: Land on the 2nd lift from the ground in the middle of the wall opposite to the half pipe you came in from.

To get to the corner containing the door: With your back to the half pipe you dropped in from, you need to land on the higher of the two lifts in the middle of the wall to your right.

Part 5: Find 3 Box Devices in the Emerald Cave

    Box 1:

Look down low for a tunnel.

Just after entering the area, turn around and look to the right of the entrance, behind the glacier rock is a tunnel containing the box device. If you pass the glacier column with openings on either side you've gone too far. Be sure to crouch and interact with the box which will automatically be placed on its spot on the wall near the triangular structure.

    Box 2:

Search on top of the various glacier rocks until you find it.

With your back to the entrance, head over to the large formation of glacier rocks to the right, somewhat close to the triangular structure. Climb as high as you can then jump to the ridge between the large rock formation and the entrance. From the ledge, jump back to the rock formation to reach a higher spot which is up against the curved wall of the cave. From there, jump up and over to get onto the top of the large rock formation where the box device is located. Be sure to crouch and interact with the box.

    Box 3:

Search the trees by jumping from branch to branch.

The box device is located at the base of one of the trees in front of and above the entrance.

It's pretty much impossible to clearly describe one of the paths that will lead you there because not only are all the trees and branches identical, but there are also a lot of them bunched together. So saying something like "jump to the branch to your left" wouldn't help when there are probably at least 10 branches to your left, some of which can only be seen from the right angle.

    Here are some tips though:

    1) There are 2 "designed" paths that will lead you to the right tree, but with so many branches and combinations, there are a lot more ways of getting there besides those 2 paths.

    2) It's easiest (and fastest) if you start by jumping onto the branch-less tree sticking out of the wall on the hill across from the entrance.

    3) Look around before and after jumping to each branch so you can get a feel for where the nearby branches are. With all the foliage, it can sometimes be hard to see a branch from where you are at so getting different perspectives can help a lot.

    4) Try to stick to the larger branches. Besides the obvious reasons such as more space to move on and being able to see better, they also don't sway as much as the little ones do.

    5) If you fall or miss a jump, spam the clamber button (or hold depending on your settings), you may get lucky and clamber onto a branch you didn't even know was there.

    6) Be sure to use the various spartan abilities at your disposal, thrusters, clamber, stabilizers, and especially ground pounds.

Once you've gotten the 3 boxes, the large door opens and congratulations, you've completed the main part of the map, signified by the "W" for win.

Part 6 Bonus Stuff (hints only)

    Bonus Doors:

In order to open the bonus doors in the temple, you have to find the number of alien bugs (back of the prophet hologram) posted above the door.

There are 5 bugs on the ship, 3 bugs past the ship but before the Emerald Cave, and 3 bugs in the Emerald Cave and the temple.

Keep in mind that you can hear them when close by, however the ones you have already gotten do not disappear so make sure you are not hearing one that you've already gotten.

    Crew Members:

There are a total of 8 crew members from the ship scattered around the map, see if you can find them all. (Note: many of them are with the hidden alien bugs, but not all)

    Taking Flight:

After opening the 7-door in the bonus area, it becomes possible to get on top of the map. Look for a phaeton or banshee (or both) out there.

    Whale Trio

Also after opening the 7-door in the bonus area and getting on top of the map, look for 3 whales hidden around the back half of the map (the side opposite to the ship).

    Super Secret Room:

Accessible only after opening the 11-door in the bonus area.

I found one of the prophet death-bugs hiding in the cave but there was no interactable switch like the others had. How is this one 'found'?
