The map resembles the scene from the trailer quite accurately in the parts that you could see in it. I first designed the environment accurately to match those, and then designed a working level on it. The result is a level that has a similar scale and feel to it like in some Halo 2 levels such as Terminal, Ascension, Turf and Burial Mounds.
I playtested the level a lot and fixed all of the issues I got feedback from or noticed from watching the videos after the matches. All of the playtesters liked the level, so I am really happy with the end result. Of course I would have wanted to decorate it a bit more, but I maxed the budget already, but at least the visuals and gameplay feel nicely balanced now.
