With the Season 8 flight I was able to do some testing with a full server. I realized that the teleporters were simply too powerful for the zombies the way I had implemented them. The zombies would always win too fast. One other concern was spawn camping the zombies at the very start of the round. I feel the Alpha has enough health to sustain a few precision weapon shots, and if the survivor is close enough to use a shotgun, the zombie can usually attack quicker if they are paying attention to their radar. The biggest thing was grenades, so I have changed them as well.
Map changes:
-Removed all teleporters. They are still there, just disabled.
-Added 8 grenade spawns, again set to never respawn.
-Added a deployable gravity lift, no respawn, cause why not.
Gamemode changes:
-Made infected zombies a fair bit weaker. They might be too weak, more testing will show.
-Made infected zombies show as white colour instead of zombie colour. I'm hoping they'll stand out a bit more.
-Survivors no longer spawn with any grenades. They served some utility around the map as there are hidden weapons, but you can get to those hidden weapons by breaking the pallets or forklifts with your melee attack, or you could just use one of the new grenade pickups.
I believe that is everything. I'm hoping to make some more maps in this style now that the customs browser is around the corner from it's official release.
