Map Description

  1. Pedaeus

    Containment is Forerunner themed map that has many sight lines and is somewhat symmetrical. Containment is a revisited map I designed back in halo 4 however I felt making this map unique by adding Forerunner Technology.

    Two thirds of Containment is snow and the last third is a very open red illuminated Forerunner edifice. Red base has let cover than Blue tunnel and long hall, however the large buttresses provide obscurity against possible blue's light rifle fire. Across from red base is scattershot tucked away in the ice, and an Incineration cannon at the third stronghold. (Comment if having two strongholds close to blue initial spawn will make the game unbalance).

    I personally love the forerunner and your take on it. The overall gameplay was fun but lacked some diversity of strategic options. I like the weapon layout better than it used to be. Overall this map is great and intense to play but there is always work for improvement.
  2. looks very good and the shapes are greatly done the varying sharp edges make the map truly feel like a forerunner map you should add some trick jumps to make the map even more competitive

    It's funny because I was designing two maps the same day, and I remembered them having a "c" in their name. So after titling the forerunner map containment and the non-forerunner map a different name I wondered if anybody would think back on the halo 2 map.

    I'm worried that there isn't much verticality (now listen here) that will be used. What i mean by this is that many well thought out maps try to have their power weapons in lower positions, so that the bottom is used so that there is more motion during gameplay instead of just camping if the power weapon is already in a campable spot at the top of the map.

    I am considering adding more levels to the map so the gameplay will be geometrical.

    I have been making more layouts for the map in order to make the gameplay more competitive. Please share some areas you want me to implement these qualities.

    I play tested the map and I agree it is powerful however, I am balancing it by extending the weapon pad timer and lowering ammo.
