If you're experimenting with "crashed" themes, try incorporating more elements that emphasise this concept and it'll help your map feel more tuned. Like make the map on a slant. Not only will this help your environmental value, but it'll allow you to be more dynamic with your verticality and balancing of power positions if you give it enough thought. Booby traps might be an idea too. given its state, I'd imagine it has some hazards about to explode, break or leak. This could enforce levelution and make players be more spatially aware.
