After play testing with several members of our wonderful halo community last night, I made several adjustments to the map (several mentioned below that will be live later tonight).
Will keep you posted and will post any further updates as soon as they are live.
- Much like the dead end route that use to be under rocket bridge, the area under the stairs from security to yellow corner were also a missed opportunity and a waste of space on the map. To get rid of this, I added an alley way in its place that wraps around the bottom corner of security and placed a lift that brings you up to security. It’s a nice flank on the snipe spawn and also offers an escape route for players who get cornered on the left side (if you’re looking from red base
- Blue base has never really been a useful part of the map or had an reason for players to play in that space so I decided to make an adjustment. There is now a platform in the middle of blue to add some height advantage and gives players some nice sightlines on Rocket Spawn, House and Alley / Yellow Corner.
- Shortened the back of yellow corner as it was wasted space and was taking up some of the light budget that I could use.
- A storm rifle has been added to the entrance of the Alley and a pair of splinter grenades are in the back corner of Alley
- The storm rifle has been removed from open tower and sticky grenades have been added back
- The stickies in trench have been removed and a bold shot has been added in it’s place
- The invis pillar in house has been moved to the opposite wall so that both teams can contest it and have a fair chance at grabbing or burning it. It’s previous placement favored blue players getting it almost every time at the beginning of the game
- Sniper rifle is on its regular 2 minute timer and still only has one additional clip
- Rockets are not on their standard 3 minute timer and 4 rockets instead of only having 2
- The BR in red base has been moved out to security bridge. This keeps precision weapons from spawning inside of red which encouraged camping, and also adds a risk factor since it’s out in the open now
Cheers!
