Map Description

   In the years following Operation: FAR STORM, the UNSC worked tirelessly to rebuild the Ark so that they could learn all of its secrets. In October 2558, this changed when the Portal to the Ark closed, stranding hundreds of researchers far outside human space, unbeknownst to the researchers, the Created had begun their takeover of the galaxy.
   About a month later, the Banished arrived and wiped all of the researchers out, starting their own salvage operations and ransacking the UNSC bases for resources. One of the areas they showed interest in was the Cartographer.
   Being one of the most important structures to the Banished and their control of the Ark, Atriox was enraged by the fact that one ship, one ship that had been sleeping for 28 years managed to access one of the Cartographers and use it to find out how far he had his forces spread across the Ark.
   Due to this, Atriox sent his Chosen to find those who allowed this. It was here, on this Desert Plateau near where the Cartographer accessed by Sierra-117 during the climatic battle of the Human Covenant War, where they enforced Atriox's will, subduing those who had failed Atriox.
   
   Chainbreaker is a Big Team Battle map meant for AR Magnum starts. Vehicles are a major part of this map due to the large open areas, with the bases having a Scorpion, a Warthog, a Ghost and a Gauss 'Hog. To counter vehicles on foot, weapons such as grenade launchers, plasma pistols, hydras and plasma casters are scattered across the map for use.
   On the design side of things, I intended on Chainbreaker being a map that harkened back to Halo 3, specifically the mission "The Ark" when players were pushing towards the Cartographer in Scorpion Tanks before fighting the Scarab. I also intended on having the feel of the Banished ransacking UNSC bases, hence why the bases on the maps feature UNSC and Banished crates inside them.
