Calidus

4v4 Capture the Flag

Map Description

  1. Connie
Left idle by the Forerunner’s after the activation of the Halo array, these pylons excavated the abundance of resource below the surface of this beautiful landscape, flush with greenery and life. Now, 100,000 years after the Last of the Forerunners walked these lands, their machines have long since broken the crust and shattered the mantle of this once lavish world, flooding the surface with the magma and molten rock that lie beneath. The entire surface has since been reshaped and reformed by the constant cooling of the liquid earth, and all life, like the ones responsible, has ceased.

Calidus is a 4v4 map centered around capture the flag. The map draws heavy inspiration from Halo 4’s Spartan Ops map “The Couldron”. It is currently in beta stages, still requiring name volumes and a few tweaks. Feel free to leave your feedback below.

If it was Mustafar, it’d be named High Ground, despite the name being taken. ;)

One of the things I appreciate most are the detailed thoughts backing your map, giving it purpose. Judging by the screenshots, it definitely looks as if you've captured that arid, craggy landscape from The Cauldron. Well done- can't wait to play on this. :)
