This place was once used to contain an entity of incredible power, but now all that remains is dust and ruins...
Welcome to my first map on this site, Binary. I have not forged in quite some time, but I have been designing maps/environments for a long while now, so I hope that makes up for any lower quality aspects in regards to the forging of the map itself.
As for what the map contains, Binary is a symmetrical 4v4 map built for the Core modes of Team Slayer, CTF, and KOTH. I took heavy inspiration from a couple different past Halo maps when designing certain sections, such as Sanctuary from H2, or The Pit from H3. However, most of the specific aesthetic designs for the map were my own, with inspiration mostly helping design the flow of the map.
Binary does have one special feature, the reason I actually called it Binary, is that there are two levels on this map that aren't entirely connected. At each end of the map, there are gravity lifts that carry you to a long, thin platform that stretches across the center of the map. In the center is a small floating structure containing an Overshield and a Sentinel Beam. Powerful yes, however when moving across the platform you are incredibly exposed and too far away to really assist with any objectives your team is attempting to secure on the ground floor. Plus, the only way to descend from this level is to jump off and land somewhere below, making you even more exposed for a period of time. This route, while risky, does allow for very quick flanking maneuvers behind the enemy team, as well as some powerful tools that, put in the right hands, could cause some serious damage.

This map was a lot of fun to make and I had a great time getting back into making forge maps for Halo, and I plan to continue making new maps as long as I continue to enjoy making them. Let me know what you think of the map, I'm excited to see what people have to say about it.
