Atlas is a symmetrical Extermination map set in the Silent Cartographer of a Halo installation. Aesthetically, the map was heavily inspired by Forerunner architecture from Halo 3, however, the map layout is inspired by some of my favorite Extermination maps that I've played since the game mode released.
Each team is presented with a few different choices to engage the enemy off spawn. The quickest path to get you into the fight, which you'll see directly in front of you, is also the riskiest, as you're highly vulnerable to grenades in the tight space you have to cross through.
To either side, players may also choose to rush straight to the Storm Rifle in bottom mid, take the lift to top mid and grab the Damage Boost or set up in their respective team's nest to get a vantage on players pushing the Grenade Launcher.
Rounds typically start with players rushing the Storm Rifle or the Grenade Launcher. The tone of the round will be set by whoever comes out on top in this initial push.
The weapon set on the map is pretty straight forward. There are 2 BRs in each base, which you will see immediately off spawn, a Storm Rifle In Bottom Mid, a Grenade launcher on top of the Mohawk and two Splinter Grenades in Top Mid and Mohawk respectively.
