This large FFA/ Team slayer maps works very well with roughly 8 players. There is a variety of ways to eliminate the threat of the wasp swiftly using the plasma pistols, splinter grenades, or the neutral SPNKr. Despite using parkour mechanics this map functions very, VERY well at doing its job. The layout does draw inspiration from Lockout in Halo 2 and Guardian from Halo 3 along by combining concepts of verticality, tight corridors, and long sightlines. It also has aspects of Blood Gulch from Halo CE, where it draws from natural terrain which is used to break up sightlines. The last sense of inspiration I drew from was Titanfalls multiplayer I tried very hard to encourage movement around the map in a similar fashion to that of Titanfall. Keeping sight lines long, while maintaining ways in and out of almost all areas with ease, encourages players to move from location to location. Parkour elements are used to test a players skill and to challenge standard stand and shoot and forces people to focus on moving and shooting, standing still is not very viable on this map. At one point a player may be shooting cross map, and the next he may be engaged in a close-quarter battle, he may be jumping off a cliff or grabbing a zip line. No matter what happens though there is always a way out of the area you're in. THE MORE YOU LOOK THE MORE THIS MAP OPENS UP, Look around and more routes that will appear.
I could not have had more fun making this map, from play testing to building I couldn't have enjoyed this more. I would love to see more maps developed like this that draw from these ideas.
