5v5 Capture the Flag

Map Description

  1. Ravenality
The base of the map is the main bridge from Narrows. Rockets bottom mid and shotty top mid. The back side of both halves of the bridge have an opening leading to the lower level of the bridge. From there you can head left and get into the bottom level of the Armory. There are light rifles placed about where Sniper rifles typically are on Narrows.

The sides of the map are different than Narrows however. To the right of your typical Narrows spawns is the BR tower from H2 Lockout. The initial spawning area connects to the BR tower as Library connects to BR tower in Lockout. The lower level of the Narrows bridge connects to BR 1 or you can make a jump and clamber to BR 2 or make a series of jumps and get up to BR 3. The bridge of BR tower that typically leads to top middle of Lockout has a launcher that sends you across to the other side of the map (a la Narrowsesk). Where it sends you is on top of the enemy Armory.

To the left of the initial spawns is the Armory, a prefabbed remake out of warzone. The armory is a small 2 level base with various weapons, grenades, and an Overshield (no power weapons though). There is a turret on the 3rd level of the Armory. You can reach the 2nd level of the Armory either from taking the launcher from the other side's BR base, the ramp inside the armory, the ladder(the ladder is climbed by jumping and clambering but can be ascended without clambering) at the back or make some tactical jumps from the back. There are a couple tricks with truster pack and taking the launcher over (you can take the launcher and thrust to the side to make it to the main bridge or you can thrust into an angled piece of the armory and gain extra momentum). Taking the launcher normally will land you on the 2nd level of the Armory.

The map plays similarly to Narrows but there are some different pathways and you can also make it to each side's Armory from the top middle of the main bridge with ease. It supports all your standard gametypes, CTF, TS, SH, Assault. I haven't play tested it too much but so far it's been a lot of fun. I like to think of it as mixing in some nostalgia from a couple great classic maps but still making a map for Halo 5 gameplay.

I'll continue to try to improve upon the map and immediately fix any errors or problems I encounter. But I'm fairly happy with the current structural layout. The map does use some lighting but the collision is very low and the physics are super low so it should run fairly smoothly without issue.

The current objective locations are ball spawn and neutral flag at top middle of main bridge (very center of the map). The bomb arming spots for each team are located at the 2nd level of the Armory. The flags for each team are located on the first level of the Armory. The stronghold points are 1 in the middle of the map where shotty normally would spawn and 1 SH point at level 2 of each team's BR base. (Stronghold points could be subject to change upon play testing and finding a superior location)

Current weapon/powerup locations are as follows:
Armory level 1: brute plasma rifle, smg
level 2: OS, boltshot, splinter grenades x2
    level 3: chaingun turret

BR base level 1: plasma pistol
    level 3: H2 BR, plasma grenades x2

Each side's main bridge level 2: frag grenades x2, BR, storm rifle, carbine, plasma grenades x2 (1 shotgun in the middle 2min respawn no additional clips)

Each side's main bridge level 1: light rifle, frag grenades x2, AR (Rocket launcher weapon pad in middle 2min respawn)

v1.4 update: Added some cover at top mid to prevent fire from Armory to top mid. Also added some cover by light rifle (H3: Narrows sniper spawn). Added lifts to more easily get to Armory level 3, which also make for some interesting tactical maneuvers over the man cannons. Adjusted cameras and cinematics.

Please post more pictures please, no one will bother downloading if they can't get a tiny preview to show them what to expect, otherwise its just time wasted on something else.

I used a screen capture program and now have several pictures of the map uploaded. I've also given more detailed weapon locations descriptions. =)
