Map Description

  1. GrayishPoppy210
    An infection map based on the painted world of Ariamis from dark souls. The video is the series I used to help creating this map. This map still requires testing.
    Type: Free roam
    Optimum Playercount: 12

    Players can hold out in various areas from ruined rooms, with holes in roofs and walls for infected or among the endless walkways on the rooftops. Perhaps even out in the courtyard where the main power weapons are found, in the church or by the bonfire. Each offer drop downs and various routes for the infected to use.

    Infection gametype maybe? Strong but slow infected. Color them red for invaders? Brown for hollows? Start weapons for survivors are scattershot and 4 splinters nades(pyromancy) set at 150% damage(they turn to ash, burn humanity, ashes everywhere then they themselves turn hollow).

    Maybe start a 1v1fight club in colliseum? lol

    I have edited it for infection. It just works with normal infection. But a version where they r red for invaders could be good. Unfortunately the budget didn't stretch to the coliseum, sorry

    I still like the idea of forerunner type weapons turning players to ash. Immersion to Dark Souls is everything and goes a long way. Maybe a couple Mythics(Grav hammer, Incineration Cannon, etc.) that can represent different spells or unique weapons from the Dark Souls universe.

    Tested and even though it has a more open center it played fine and balanced, the look of the map is really spot on with a Dark Souls Level and the little attributes such as the dead elites that are impaled and the skull poles. Little things that are nicely consistent are the rock rubble on the stairs the denote invis barriers as the ends of the map. No critiques atm, good job overall with gameplay spaces and the look of a derelict fort

    This layout is quite unorthodox for Infection gameplay. However, you have this weird way of getting past that and it feeling good despite that. What i'm trying to say is that I like it! Many avenues to take through this fort on its sides seem to draw play away from the open middle court but even when there is action there, you have cells in the middle one can hide in, stair elevation, and the greatest Grunt of all with his hammer. Aesthetically, it's Dark Souls. Also reminds me of Game of Thrones. Your hanged people have a nice, eerie touch to the place as well.

    Thx. I wasn't sure it would play well due to the large courtyard but I decided to stick as close to the layout of the actual dark souls area as possible. Glad you like it. In case you haven't seen, I've been on today to block off a few escapeable areas and made a hidden area more obvious to new players. Didn't post map update as people have complained on other maps of unnecessary minor updates
