Arcadia Tower is a 5 story tower located on the planet Arcadia. It was a Forerunner structure that was built up as a tourist site by the Arcadia Division of Commerce. The Covenant took the tower and used it as a training site, using its floors to emulate Human terrain and environments. It was recaptured by the Humans at the end of the war and was turned into a museum.
MP:
This map is an attempt at probably the most vertical map I've seen on Halo 5. But it plays smaller than it is because of the simple fact that horizontally the map is not huge, meaning you will be spotted on radar no matter what floor you are on.
1ST FLOOR
The biggest floor. All initial spawns (except for FFA spawns) are on the 1st floor. The 1St floor houses the overshield, and the camo is on top of the 1st floor hut.
There are multiple ways to get vertical
2 staircases that goes up to each floor, one on the red side, one on the blue.
2 "big" lifts that rocket you to the 5th floor. One on the open side, one on the closed side.
2 lifts going to the 3rd floor. One on the red side of the map, one on the blue side.
1 continuous elevator that goes up a floor, waits 4 seconds, then continues to the next floor.
1 Teleporter that goes to the middle of the 3rd floor.
1 lift, in the open middle of the 1st floor that shoots you up through the opening where you can get to the second floor.
2ND FLOOR
The second floor was used as the museum gallery for the displaying the different covenant species. On the closed side there is the grunt, jackal, and prophet gallery, and the open side has 2 elite displays. The second floor has the shotgun.
3RD FLOOR
The third floor was used by the covenant to emulate mountainous and rocky terrains of human worlds. The third floor is a crucial floor gameplay wise. As there is a teleporter from the first floor, two lifts from the 1st floor on the Sun Deck/Open Side of the 3rd floor. There is also, of course, the elevator, which goes to each floor.
It is also worth noting the 3rd floor has a major opening looking down on the second floor.
4TH FLOOR
The fourth floor was used to mimic vegetation on the human world's by the covenant. The plasma caster spawns on this floor. The only way up to the 4th floor is via the elevator, or the man cannon from the 3rd floor Sun Deck.
5TH FLOOR
The 5th floor was used to emulate human domestic practices, the 5th floor is basically a large catwalk. The two "big" lifts from the 1st floor come up to either end of the 5th floor. The 5th floor also houses the H2 Beam Rifle.
Obviously, the higher up on the map.you are, the better off you are. The 5th and 3rd floors are crucial, just because of the way the vertical routes are set up. But the power ups are located on the lower floors in an attempt to bring the gameplay down.
I have not tested this map a lot. I work a lot and decided I needed to get this map uploaded as is, and get some feedback. I'm very open to criticism as I'd like the map to be the best that it can be, without changing the entire thing. Keep in mind the budget is strained as is, so there isn't much I can add without running into performance issues. I think this map is a very fresh, new idea that I haven't seen much and I hope you all enjoy it.
