As always, thank you to everyone who has supported Ancestor in anyway, be it providing feedback, testing, or just taking interest.

Here are the most current and final? updates to Ancestor.

Assault has been vigorously tested in so many lobbies and in my opinion has replaced CTF as the best game-type for Ancestor. Thank you @Ascend Hyperion and @Max Extra for your consistent lobbies!

    • Assault capture plate has been moved into the yard of the bases, just up the ramps out of the garages.
    • A spawn point has been strategically placed near the plasma pistol on each side. *This is now a counter to the Wraith "pinning" technique that was manipulating spawns.*
    • The Splinter Grenades were removed from the Hammer Room in bottom mid.
    • The plasma grenades in the garages of the respective bases were replaced with a single Splinter Grenade on each side to help players push out of bases when vehicles would attempt to "pin" players.
    • The storm rifles were removed from the map.
    • The Carbine was moved to the Plasma Grenade areas by the lifts inside of the first tier of the structure.
    • The Needler was moved over a bit into the old Carbine spot and will now be a more visible option for players and can move into the map better if players choose to use the man cannons.
    • The bases were rebuilt with smaller pieces and smarter pieces which returned some lightmap to use in other areas, improving any performance and look of the map.
    • The door frames on the lower spire in the middle of the map dividing the center were redone with all "simple wall" pieces. This helps improve performance and returned a whopping 8% lightmap to again put back into the map.
    • The rocks above the yards of each base were all lowered somewhat. This is to make it so players see less when looking into the base yards from the 3rd and 2nd tier of the structures. This has improved the player spawning experience and when players want to shoot into the bases, they are now encouraged to jump down to the first tier of the structure. This puts some player engagements from the yards of the bases at a more even firefight level with the control room structure.
    • Overshield is now in place of Camo when playing the Assault game type.
    • The 2 BR's on the map are now Kinetic, this will help slightly with infantry vs vehicles and it will give players a reason to be interested in this weapon location.
Thank you all again for the continued support!
