1. Downscaling, new terrain, etc.

    After receiving a lot of feedback while putting Ancestor through the lobby ringer, overall the map was just too large, the bases were too far away, the man cannon was out of the way and some areas were cool in concept, but they did not pan out. This was a massive update, here are the details.

    -The outer route to the bridge on both sides has been removed from the map. This route was good for vehicles, but infantry had too hard of a time getting to the man cannon.

    -The bases were too "tucked in" and the rocks in front of the bases have all been removed and the area was reworked. The bases were moved closer to the base, the area above them was removed, and the back half of the base was also removed. The grav lift that was previously in the back of the base has been moved closer with the back being removed.

    -The side cave for each base separated players too much and has been opened up more, an additional route was added to allow people to traverse the structure easier.

    -The sneak tunnel beside the bases was shortened and some well placed lamps were added to give people something to recognize the route.

    -The man cannons were moved closer to the bases and now go to the second tier instead of the top of the Control Room.

    -Most of the ice chunks that were used for terrain have been removed and replaced by natural terrain for a smoother cleaner look and feel.

    -The terrain now goes up the side of the Control Room structure some and a natural ice ramp has formed allowing players to traverse the structure easier.

    -A few well placed ice chunks have been added around the map to help with ground cover.

    -The Splinter Turret(Detached) has changed spots with the overshield to balance the change made with the man cannons.

    -The base Strongholds have been moved out into the front of the bases to bring in the scaling of the battle and a less defensive, more interesting fight for the game type.

    -The 2 weapon pads hosting the H2 Beam Rifle have been moved to the cave overlook area on the respective sides.

    -Halo 5 Standard battle rifles were moved toward the center more with the weapon pads moving, and the carbine is now on the platform hosting the man cannon.

    -A Mongoose was added to each base to help people travel faster through the map and a needed extra for CTF.

    -Lighting, Lightmap, and other small tweaks were made in effort to clean up the map a bit.

    In doing this change, the map has been scaled down roughly 15-20% in size and the gameplay feels much faster, flows better, and is stronger than ever. Myself and weeeeemann both feel that this is the map that compliments the old large scale maps in previous games and is a breath of fresh air mixing that with Halo 5 abilities. With all of the nostalgia from Halo:CE and Halo 3, this is a fight you will want to finish!
