Loses a star purely because of inherent issues with the original map. Great job forging, and I'm super happy that Sandtrap has returned. Like the new bases as a way to prevent spawn pillaging, although I'm not sure they work 100%. (Again, this is a problem with the map just being so massive and open, which, given that's how the original was, I can't really fault the forger for.

    Either way, overall, great job.

This map and the original H5 "Classic Sandtrap" are some of the best maps in Halo 5. I'm so glad this got into matchmaking. The forging is fantastic.

While I love the idea of Sandtrap being in Halo 5, the remake just doesn't live up to the excellence of the original. Such forging technique as far as architecture is extremely well done, however, the terrain is fairly lacking, mostly in functionality as visuals are quite limited in this regard. If I had to choose, your classic Sandtrap was much better. This is still good however, but a couple of issues are keeping it from excellence.

Great Variety of objects and terrain used to convey a feeling of nostalgia and happiness that takes me back to the days of when i played Sandtrap with my friends a few years ago. Great map overall, Love the weapon placement and i look forward to see more maps re-imagined from you in the future!!

The center structure of the map is outstanding, and overall, the map plays relatively decent in Halo 5 in it's current adaptation. The main issues I have with this map are about the quality of forging. There are some newly accessible areas on the map which function relatively well, such as the blue base. Poorly designed areas, such as the tunnel behind red base, and tunnel between hammer and pelican. These areas are not necessary and hurt the flow of the map. Another glaring issue would be the terrain, both visually and functionally. The terrain is the worst part of the map. Understandably it is a relatively large scaled map but without a doubt could be improved upon. The poorly crafted terrain also creates exploitable areas of the map, most noticeably the large dune next to pelican where both light rifle and spartan laser spawn. I highly respect some features of this map, but other features turn me away. 7/10.

I've actually and honestly had more fun on this map in ~5 games than I have in Halo 3's sand trap with tons of games. And when I say that, I mean that Sandtrap in Halo 3 was one of the most memorable multiplayers maps in Halo history and it was awesome...but yes, this is even better.

You attempted to port a classic Halo 3 map to Halo 5, but failed in recognizing what made the map wor in the original game. You didn't not take into consideration how the game's core mechanics dictate how map works. While this is forged well, such quality of forging is not something to praise, but rather a quality expected of competent forgers.

As it stands, this is a poor imitation of what was a decent map at best. Average work. Shame the Cartographers get blinded by trivial nonsense and have a tendency to praise a map because of who the author is, rather than the merit of the map itself.

An insane amount of time and work went into this project and its truly paid off. Our fan favorite BTB map is back and you interpreted the space to create new opportunities with the advanced movement mechanics in Halo 5. While the terrain could use some minor improvement, we just don't have the tools for that yet unfortunately. The bases are balanced between each other and in some respects this version is superior to its predecessor for it. Again, great job on this. You should be really proud of this work.

I absolutely love this map! Its amazing how she made a new map with the same nostalgic sand trap feel. I also agree with the changes from the original sand trap to utilize halo 5 combat to the fullest. It crazy how a ascetically Pleasing map can also play surprisingly great! This definitely gets a 5 star review from me!!!

Like a reimagination you did a great job, it kinda feels like the original one but with a modern ambient.
Because of the missing Elephants it was a good idea to expand the size of the bases, and also making new ways to overwhelm the enemy base. The weapons are nostalgic and the aesthetics are excellent. Some issues that would be wonderful to correct are the respawns and the Banshee location. Sometimes with a well coordinated offense, and the covenant aircraft in control, it's almost impossible for the defender team to strike back. Especially while being on Blue Team, that destroys the experience the game and becomes frustrating.

This is a good map, aesthetically talking. Nostalgic and funny for BTB battles, but sometimes it becomes a fizzle.
