Alone: Viral is a close quarters infection map. When I designed this map I had one thing in mind and that was immersion. Most maps give you effects and grime to enhance the fear, but I wanted my map to feel like a home that someone has been living in but hasn't fully unpacked. In order to do that I had to really push the games limits. I minimized all framerate inside to keep the action flowing without breaks but this required outdoor sacrifice. So framerate in some areas outside can get slightly choppy but not to the point that you can't play smoothly. The humans are stuck within the house with limited supplies and a horde trying to get in. So if you are a human think about where you want to start your fight and where in the house you want to end it.
