I don't have a name for the map yet.
I've been slowly working on this map for the last 2 days on and off. I'm kinda loosing inspiration though. Can you guys tell me what you think of it so far. It's got the 3 rooms on the lower floor which have ramps and a grav lift going up to the floor above. The upper floors are all going to be connected to make it one whole building.

I think you should keep making this. It really looks like it has a good thing going, so if you do plan on finishing it i cant wait to see it.

If I were you, I would use sketchup to plan out the whole map, and show what you intend the rest to look like. It's hard to judge a map from an unfinished image.
Also I would advise going through the Google 3D Warehouse to find halo 3 weapons, and place them where you intend them to be (In addition to goals like flags and bomb spawns)
You could use 3D/2D Text to show the properties of the weapons.

it looks like it could be good for small, slayer games, but depending on the finished size it could work out with bigger parties. Keep working at it,I cant wait to see it finished.

Try making a symmetrical version of Guardian out of this (not literally) by making towers or bases on each side.

But I like this so far- but what is that receiver node for?

It looks like it has potential. I see opportunity for a great point interest (place of advantage). I think you should expand the side areas to create a base or starting area feel. Once you get more done, I'll try to help out some more.

You know, whenever I start making a map but then lose inspiration, I invite someone to co forge with me. Usually they will be able to build a structure or two that re inspires you and gives you that extra push to keep working on the map. Then, you even get a forge buddy out of it that you can pass the map back and forth with.

I would delete a couple blocks on one side and make it asym, looks like a really nice start for an asymetrical map.

The node is just so I can get up to the sky bubble as soon as I spawn, I can't be bothered flying over to the floating node and then flying all the way across the sky bubble to get to the map. It's just easier lol.
Also, I started putting the upper floors in. I had them perfectly straight, because I used double blocks to rest the double walls on, then I deleted them to make them float. When I saved and exited then came back later however, the walls were all uneven.
Why is this? can anyone give me some advice on how to get flat and even floors out of double walls. Or do I have to do it like I would with a race track? By laying down a double wall as a template and then placing another double wall underneath it.
