i have it and didn't really think it was worth 10 bux because halo 3's maps are the same price but you can do SO much more with them. killhouse i havent played. broadcast is fun indoor multi level map. creek is snipermania basically. chinatown is a annoying labyrinth that if you walk the streets you just might die
The new maps were pretty disappointing, but then again I am comparing the maps with Halo maps, which stated before you can do so much stuff with them. Also the new CoD maps were kind of the same as previous maps.
Every Frikkin Multiplayer map in CoD4 is just taken from the Campaign levels and they put a little more stuff on it.
Dunno if i will get them yet, the thing is every level on that game plays well. You cant deny that the levels do play better than Halo and they do look aesthetically better. The levels were designed by players themselves so they will worked on what the PEOPLE actually wanted and done it, rather than Bungie making things that are people wanted, but changed in some way to make them absolutely shite. Ill get the maps eventually just asking around first seeing what people think.
i havent played them enough yet, because im more interested in RSV2 right now. But i have to say Chinatown is the best from what i have played so far. Creek is a major sniping level. Broadcast is kind of weird, i didnt like it that much from what i played. My opinions will probably change once i actually get used to the maps though.
If thats what you think than I really doubt you have even played CoD4. Out of the new maps, only Broadcast is the closest to being 'taken from the Campaign'. Even then, there are a lot of differences in that map.
thats not true at all, Ambush is the part right before the TV station. Bog is the part where you defend the tank. i could go on but thinking hurts.
I'm actually disappointed in the map pack, I thought it would bring me back to COD4 but after 15 or so games I went back to vegas 2.
Crash, Overgrown, Vacant, Bloc, Downpour, Backlot, Strike, District, Creek, Chinatown. They may look like they are from campaign, but they aren't that alike.
For Bloc, it looks like they copied some of the buildings, changed the door ways and put a courtyard in between.
Creek really annoys me, it seems very unbalanced in favour of the team spawning on the high hills where there are bombed houses. I like it when my team has control of the good side of the river though. China town also seems unbalanced in favour of the team spawning in the back alleys, but it's not as bad there since there are so many routes to travel around the map. I wish we could play ffa on the new maps also.
killhouse is pointless, i have played creek way too much so it's virtually nothing to me, chinatown is annoying and it is to easy to camp, broadcast is good though (i got 17 kill streak on my first game there) although it might be a bit unbalanced
That really seems to me like a lot of differences. The maps are supposed to be from places during the campaign, I just dissagree that all they do is change some small things and, presto, they have a multiplayer map. It's definitely not that simple. Even If I take bloc off of that list, that is still about half of the maps.
Changing door ways and putting a couryard in between are a lot of differences? It may not be that simple, but it is definatly easier because they have already made it all once and can probably copy a lot of the geometry. If half the maps aren't just campaign remade, that still means that half of them are which isn't very original.
