Hey guys I'm OcR Lateralus. You may know me as that guy who spits in the face of forge (that is if you've checked out bungie favorites recently). I'm not going to sugarcoat it, the maps are terrible and there is a long story as to how they got there. Anyways, deep down I'd like to think I'm a forger: I'm patient, creative and meticulous. The only problem is, I suck. My eyesight has never been that good and even if it was, my forging would still suck. I figured I'd join to become a part of your nice community to see if I could learn a thing or two. My name is Connor, I live in a small town in Ontario, Canada. I like music and movies. I want to be a director when I grow up and my favourite band is Tool.

That's all you need to be a good forger, patience and creativity, and a drive to learn and improve whatever. There's no like 'Forge gene' that some guys have and some don't...and some people are much better at different things, after a while I guess you kind of find your area and work with it. I feel like I'm personally much better at the design aspect of stuff so in general I'll design maps, then get someone who understands what I want to build (My latest partner, Sir Toppum Hat, was pretty awesome at that...among the best technique I've ever seen), then I'll do spawns, weapons, tweaking, etc. So, there's lots of different areas, and as long as you have patience and creativity, look at the Forging 101 and give it some practice and you'll be good. Also people will often help you if you're serious about becoming better...that's the drive part I guess. Welcome.
Thanks a lot for the welcome guys. Yes, Tool is my favourite band but no, Lateralus is not my favourite song. My favourite it probably Stinkfist. But 46&2 and Lateralus come up a close second. I'll post the maps I've made in the last week. Two of them support slayer/flag and the other only supports king. I'll have them on here by the end of the day. If someone who has a lot of forging experience would like to go into forge with me and take a look at my maps that would be great! Always open for constructive criticism.
46 & 2 is a pretty good song. My favorites would probably be hooker with a *****, 10000 days, and undertow but they have so many good songs. Anywho to the forge related stuff good for you just remember to read all the rules like embeding screenshots, adding discriptions, download links, maybe a weapons list, and you'll be good to go. If you're not sure what to do you can always look at some others people's map posts and you can tell whether or not they did it right from the comments.
