    Epsilon is like no other map you have seen before. The arches looming high above the map give a feeling like no other. You feel trapped in a quickly unfolding battlefield. The wait to experience the map and pump lead into your opponents' heads feels like centuries... but it's not. It's only a second until your finger will be pulling the trigger of your ice-cold battle rifle as quickly as possible and bullets will be piercing your opponents' skulls. And then... as quickly as it started, it ends. Will you be victorious, or will you fall short at the hands of the opposing team? That is for you to decide. This... this is Epsilon.

    There are many gametypes set up to play on Epsilon. They are...

    The Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, and Active Camo are all within equal distance from each teams' spawn.
    The Rocket Launcher spawns on the center structure and is leaning up against the column.
    The Shotgun spawns on the platform next to the vertical bridge the the right of the Defender's Base.
    Active Camo spawns in the tunnel under the bridge structure to the left of the Defender's Base.
    A needler spawns by the Shotgun and the Active Camo.
    The Bubble Shield spawns under the main archway.
    In symmetric games, there are two Ghosts on the map.
    In asymmetric games, there is one, which is given to the Attackers.
    The Plasma Pistol only spawns in asymmetric games and is given to the Defenders to help counter the Ghost.

    Epsilon really does look like an amazing map AceOfSpades... You worked on it for such a long time, and continued to test it longer than I've ever seen somebody test a map. I'm glad you finaly got Epsilon to be just the way you wanted it, and that it's finaly released. I'll make sure to download it and edit this post with feedback I come up with. But I'm sure with how long it took you to tweak Epsilon that there isn't much I'll have to give you feedback on. Great looking structures, and I'm not worried about a lack of cover at all. Did I mention that the archway looks beautiful?

    Edit: Even though you already showed me the truck when you were about halfway done with the map, I still managed to forget it was there. I was so confused when you thanked ChAoTiC for the truck. But then just now I remembered! Lulz... I'm a bit slow.

    Wow, you made a bunch of changes since I last played this with you... I must've been in one of the first testing groups, right?

    Well anyway, it looks even better now than it did before, and it looks like it limits the ghost's mobility a little bit more (which is good because that was a bit of a problem when I played this). I really like what you did to the rocket spawn, looks much nicer than the wall corner thing... xP

    Ace, I'm telling you, the one bridge nedz moar alignment. That aside, very nice map. The only problem that I have with the map are the spawns on Assault, obviously. Once the bomb was planted, the defending team would spawn away from the point, even at the other base. They could be spawncamped there and it was nearly impossible to disarm the bomb once it was planted. Everything else is clutch though, and I like the feel of the map as a whole. It's very organic, but not entirely foreign. If that made any sense, then I'm Barack. Nice map, man, and you are certainly welcome on those bridges.

    What? No special thanks for BEING there while cerberus did the sexy geo? Or ATTEMPTING to ghost of the light? Gah. Lol. The map is amazing Ace. Im honored to have been a tester. This is definately one of my more favorite foundry maps. Good work.

    BTW the pictures don't do it justice. You need a video.

    the map looks crazy, same with most of your other maps, but could use some more cover in defender's courtyard.

    I stuck through testing this map from the early version to the now new and improved, finally released version! And I gotta say, all those hours of testing and modifying have certainly paid off. The map is awesome. Your a good map maker not only for the fact that you have good forging skills, but also for the fact that you don't rush into getting the map released as soon as you finished version 1, you wanted to keep testing to find out problems so you could make it the best that it could be, and that definitely shows here. The quality of the map is awesome, and the gameplay runs smoothly which was a pleasure to test. Love the map, and an obvious download from me ;D

    Very nice map although im not sure the ghosts would play well since if both teams got ghost the could own im pretty sure but ill get back to it later because my x box 360 got red rings. 4/5 .

    I remember seeing this map when it was only a few Boxes oh, they grow up so fast.
    Anyways, I loved seeing this map grow into something really great. That Wall merge is pretty awesome, and I demand a picture of the truck in here! The map is really fun to play on, and the Forging is of course top-notch thanks to Cerberus and I, haha :p
    This is one of the best Foundry maps I've seen come out in awhile, and I'm not sure if there is anything on the way for Foundry maps that could possibly be better this this... :D

    I don't usually review competitive maps, but this is one of those exceptions. Great use of interlocking and geomerging, and the gameplay of the map is ace. The area in front of the defenders base may be a little too open, but not by alot. Plus, you really need that space in the ghost. I've seen these kinds of structures before, but the execution on these is flawless. Great map! 5/5

    Wat can I say that hasn't already been said Im not very blown away by Foundry Maps anymore I will say that this has some amazing interlocking and geomerging you did wonderful. This map has great gameplay as well. Everything always looks the same on Foundry gut great job 4/5.

    I'm glad I could help :)

    Now that the map is in it's released state, I can honestly say that it plays better than 90% of all Sandbox variants released since people got ahold of the Mythic map pack. Every gametype that I played on Epsilon made me want to play it again ever since you took my advice about the center piece blocking line of sight.

    I'm very happy it turned out so well. Great job Ace!

    This was one great map. I remember testing it, it was great. It played well with all gametypes. I really liked the B sign room, how the fences were geomerged ever so slightly. The only problem I had with this map was that in Oddball, one could just camp in the Attackers' spawn hive. There were also a few spawning issues but none of them were major. That aside, this is an amazing 4v4 map and I would definitely recommend it be put into Matchmaking if the chance ever arises.

    Okay, this is pretty nice. I mean, I applaud you for the effort put into this map via merging and interlocking, but I find it a bit unecessary. Unecessary because this map is virtually fully creatable on Sandbox, and with Sandbox you could get extra perks such as lighting. So all in all this is a 4/5 map to me, but I pity that you put in so much extra effort when it wasn't even necessary.

    Yeah I really liked the wall corner structure but it just didn't play very well. Trust me when I say that these improvements help the map play a lot better. It gives more block of line of sight for the Attacker's Base and is more functional as a part of the map.

    I'm telling you those bridges are fine. Also, I kind of threw together Assault so that it could eligible for the xForgery contest. If you notice, Assault is not one of the recommended gametypes in any shape or form.

    That doesn't deserve special thanks... lol. I'll get a video if I can get someone like Zak to do it.

    That ope area is really needed for the Ghost to move around effectively.

    Thanks for giving that advice that really helped make the map play a lot better. It couldn't have been this good without you.

    FFA Oddball ended up playing a lot better than Team Oddball because the camping issue was eliminated.

    I made it on Foundry. Live with it. If I wanted to make it on Sandbox, I would've.

    Alright, Ill tell you what I would like to see but I know you will flame me because you hate everyone who doesn't compliment every corner of your map. Then your going to insult me personally for something entirely different.
    The weapons.
    10 Battle rifles and 2 carbines?
    On a 4v4, everyone is going to have a battle rifle. So basically Its equivalent to BR starts correct?

    For what possible reason would someone pick up a plasma rifle when everyone else on the map has battle rifles? In all your testing did anyone ever get a kill with a plasma rifle? Did anyone ever pick up a plasma rifle?

    Maybe a shotgun will have an advantage but only if your hiding around a corner, not good gameplay anyways.

    A plasma pistol could be used to take someone's shields down but according to the MLG 50s the plasma pistol is for noobs.

    The needler, perhaps you could get a kill with a needler but its difficult. And you'd have a much better time just using your BR.

    What I am trying to say is if people really want Battle rifles then let them use their BR start. Otherwise 20% of the game is dedicated to looking around for BRs, making it difficult for the people who are re-spawning to fight back.

    I will not flame you or put down any of your points rudely. I will say this.

    This map was tested over the course of about two months. Do you think that I didn't think about these issues you stated if they came up during testing? Similar issues to what you said did arise. I saw to it that they were fixed and then tested again. Just to prove my point further, here is a picture of the original finished version of the map:

    So don't think that I didn't take people's advice into account. You see that special thanks to GD 27 Shockwave? Most of what's in the second picture I gave you was his idea to help block line of sight better than the corner wall structure. And it did. The gameplay on the map was a lot better than when the corner wall structure.

    As for your points on the weapons...

    You are wrong when you say that each team will basically start with BR's. Each base has two BR's and one Carbine. Then there is a BR somewhat to the side of each base. The rest of the BR's a dispersed about the map.

    As for the Plasma Rifles... they were place in a heavily trafficked area just so people will pick them up. I find Plasma Rifles to be a moderate power weapon because of their ability to lower shields so quickly. To further this, dual-wielding a Plasma Rifle and an SMG found not to far away could make for a very deadly combination that if used in the right hands, could be a game-changing factor.

    If you may have noticed, there are not too many tight corners and even the ones that there are, they are open to very heavy fire. The shotgun played well and was used more as a support weapon rather than an all out power weapon.

    Your point about the Plasma Pistol has no legitimacy whatsoever. I will quote myself from the original post.
    It is not difficult to get a kill with a needler. Again, like the shotgun, they are used more as a support weapon rather than an all out power weapon because of their lessened ammo capacity.

    And I never said that you can't play the map with BR starts. I am saying that the map plays better with AR starts.

    I hope that you will play the map and see that these things I stated are true. Play CTF, Team Slayer, One-Sided VIP, or Team King. Those are really the maps highlighted gametypes that testers most enjoyed.

    Oh, and I only criticize the people that judge the map off pictures, you being one of them.
