By A jacal (Me) and Strybo Welcome to The Arena V3. The Arena is a fun, fast-paced game where its smear, or ... be killed. Jump in into the fun with this fun-packed game where everyone gets a go at taking their enemies down. The Arena actually started off as 'Bull Arena' on Foundry. (Creative name, huh?) It was actually very fun but had major flaws in looks and gameplay. Pretty sweet, huh? When Halo Wars was released, I got the Limited Edition, which came with the first half of the Mythic Map Pack. I went crazy with Sandbox. It had everything I needed for a complete remake. Then, The Arena was born. The aim of the game is to kill the bull. The bull is on a chopper raging around The Arena, with little care at all. You (and your friends) must try to kill the bull which has 4x overshield and 2000% damage resistance. You have random weapons at spawn so you never know if you'll have a pistol or a rocket launcher. NOTE: There is MULTIPLE WAYS to kill ANYONE with ANY WEAPON if you are the bull. So no crying about how its 'too hard' and 'unfair' for the bull or humans.. The bull cannot kill the humans with his chopper shots, as he cannot do any damage. So - basically, kill the bull before he splatters you. Another overview: Heres where it gets technical (sp? lol): And ... _______________________ Anything else you need to know: There is a glitch where the chopper can get 'stuck' on the roof (due to the all-powering tin cups), this has been fixed as grav lifts and man cannons have been placed on the roof to push you back down. I've said this once and I'll say it again: THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY TO KILL SOMEONE IF YOU ARE THE BULL NO MATTER WHAT WEAPON THEY HAVE GOT. Im only giving tips on the weapons that people will mostly need tips on, but I'll try to do most of them. The Brute Shot is one of the best weapons to use in The Arena. Its rapid-firing and pretty fast reload time makes it one of the best all round weapons. The grav hammer. It may look like the best weapon to use in The Arena, but its not. You can easily be taken down if you have the skill to do so. If you are the bull and are getting beaten up by the dude with the grav hammer, just go straight for him and boost just as he swings the grav hammer. He will die on most occasions. If not, try it again - It works. The rocket launcher is a great back-up weapon. But dont use it for your only weapon (you can pick up dead peoples weapons), as the slow firing and slow reload time make you prone to the bulls chopper. The spartan laser is a great weapon for taking down the bulls shields. Use it wisely, as the charge can make you very prone to the bulls chopper. Great presentation! The ONLY issue is the wall flooring is prone to bumps. Did you ensure that they were kept to a minimum? The ceiling is pretty creative and your solution to avoid the tin cup suction was a good one. I will download this and try it with my friends later. Oh, and the main reason this tops the foundry maps is the anti camping mechanism and the twist you put into the map. You did good.
Yes, the floor does have bumps (due to that stupid glitch), but you dont even notice it when you are jumping around the arena. Thanks for the feedback!
