Here we go, just a minimalist piece I made using a render for the cube that I fixed up a lot. Took about 4-5 hours. Res: 1920x1080 Res: 1600x900
Looks pretty cool, needs to be more noisy, though. Noise looks good on Walls. Also, the far cube looks a bit jaggy and weird.
I really like this wallpaper. You did a really nice job with the lighting, and I like the minimalist style. I am not a huge fan of the text placement, but the font is good and fits with the style. I think the text would look better if it was moved down and to the right by about 20 to 30 pixels... I can't really tell what you did to the cubes without seeing the render, but they look very nice. Overall, great work.
Yeah very good man. If you had lots of desktop icons I would see why you would want all that empty space. The big cube's left edge looks a little ruff, especially on the higher res image.
I don't see where it looks rough? And you don't need to have a lot of icons; I have a medium amount and am using this background. Yes, I made that. Thank you. I originally had the text in roughly that same area, but then I decided it looked cooler and added to the '3D effect' if it was between the cubes.
Looks fab, but i think the text is a bit hard-edged and opaque to match in with the rest. I also think that the edges of the back of the cube lines are a bit dark.
I tried to fix the edges of the cube, but it was very tough to do so and none of my outcomes looked acceptable.
The cubes, suck. Unless you can get rid of the black lines indicating the cubes edges, it will continue to suck.
ZOMFG too much white is killing the environment! Color invert for environmentally conscious people? Lol. I like it. Clean, sexy, and umm... clean. You might try reproducing the cubes on your own, though. It doesn't look like it'd be too too difficult, and you'd have better control over the aesthetic.
