    Oh, and regarding the sniper comment, either you are lucky, or the random spawning just happens to give you that. All are random, we don't think they influence each other. The spawn rooms are stacked on one another, so it shouldn't make a difference.

    EDIT: Oh, Kryticate has been bashing maps often on the forums with no good reason. Jerk.

    It is based off the game and in trench warfare of the time there exist no-man's land which is wide open space between the trenches usually desolate.
    its fine doesn't need to be fixed
    there is no reason to camp and no good way to slowly push them out
    there are many teleporters to prevent killing them as they come out and the goal is to capture all the territories if you are already at the end you should be about to win any way
    that balances out the soldier class and makes the use of teamwork that much more important as well as the fact that there isn't any cover in the game its based off of or the real life equivalent
    this is to balance out the sniper!

    the stealth class dies in one hit and they are meant to get behind enemy lines not defend
    stealth has a pistol but its not good to use it, it would be better to stay hidden
    the other classes balance each other out the soldier can protect the heavy that can take out the banshee pining them down
    yes they are the only group but other classes can pick up weapons
    represents more of a bombing run/ artillery strike

    E-flaming makes me laugh. Anyway, after playing a few times i have few complaints. Of the ones i have left, a prominent one would be that the heavy classes machine gun can't shoot approaching forces while standing on the plank in the trench. The whole point of the class was to camp in a trench and shoot anyone trying to cross no mans land, but be super weak trying to cross to a new trench. Another complaint would be some of the weapons used, such as the AR and BR, which don't quite fit with the theme, but seem to work well enough as is. But with only 5 objects and a $165 budget remaining, i realize you can't change much more. If you wanted to increase oln, the map could be slightly less wide, the trenches could survive some thinning, and as a more extreme fix you could use an oln canvas that includes all the original items, but would require a reforge. And out of curiosity, will you make a 1944 one to go with the recent flash game?

    Thanks a bunch. We will most likely make a 1944 one. Though it will be a lot more complicated saying it uses cover instead of trenches. We will have to put more thought into it so it will take longer. Though we already have the basic idea of the game.

    We will not get to make this for a while though. We are in the process of making a different kind of game. Its a pretty cool idea that shouldn't be too hard or take too long to make once we have the classes (They are completely different the way they are chosen)

    I love the Warfare 1917 game, I like to go into custom mode and fill the trenches with nothing but regular rifle men and watch them just blast volleys of bullets at tanks that asploud almost instantly. I am downloading this!

    This map is really fun for casual people, so my friends and I have had a blast on this one. Though we only play 2v2 most of the time, it is always balanced. Though it seems like the sniper is the dominating class for this, but the stealth class balances it out nicely.

    Camping never seems to be a problem because of how wide the trenches are, you can have one person drop in on both sides and flush him out. The banshees however seem to spawn too quickly. One a minute seems like you kill it, and it's out attacking again right away. Maybe if you changed the re-spawn time to 2 minutes it would make make it more manageable, without making it useless.

    Also, when you are the stealth class, sometimes you can pick up weapons and it gives an unfair advantage to have a good camo sniper. I think this is because the custom power-up allows weapon pick up for too long. On this topic, I think that once you spawn you have 5 seconds to pick up your weapons, so the same person can't repeatedly pick up the sniper after you kill him.

    There are just a few things that could be improved, but it still is a really fun map. 4/5

    Looks good, i made a similar map on foundry but with assult and a lot smaller, you should add some debris as as it stands its a bit blank

    basic layout, simple design, good gameplay. to be honest though, i would have posted it in the minigame forum, it is after all, a remake of a flash game.
    the banshee seems a little to overpowered. yeah, the turret can take it out but if the spawns are random, whats to stop your team from getting all sniper classes? on that same note, what if your team does all spawn as snipers? then the otherteam wont be able to leave the trench, or for that matter, get in after dieing.
    the map is a good idea, but some aspects need tweaking. for improvement, take out the banshees and make it easier for teams to get on the trench walls, if they jump up, it will be to easy for the other team if they have a decent sniper.

    I would make the stealth class faster, so he can get around more. Also, I would weight the classes a little, Add more spawn points to the assault class and remove one from the sniper. That way, you would be more likely to have a higher distrubution of normal troopers. You should also put some higher points on the trenches so the machine gunner can shoot from the trench. Maby throw some gernades in the center trenches to bombard the other one with? Also increase the spawn time of the banshies. Otherwise, its a great map.

    The sniper is meant to be overpowered. It makes the game longer and heck of a lot more epic. You have to be more strategic with your team to think of a way to move across the battlefield without getting killed by snipers. Either have a teammate stealth or another sniper take the enemy out. Whatever works for your team.

    I understand about the banshee spawning in too quickly. Really the reason for that (I can't find a way to change it) is so that the banshee will spawn into the game a minute in. So, every minute the banshee will come back. I don't think there is a way to make it go longer unless I make it come in that much longer.

    Once the stealth guy picks up the custom power up, weapon pick up is disabled. It forces the guy to do what he was meant to.

    This map looks like it has some pretty wicked game play, The multiple class are really good, but do people just have to adapt to what class area they spawn in or do you like spawn in a room with multiple teleporters leading to each class area? But over all it looks quite fun.

    Go into forge mode, start a new round, wait 30 seconds and the banshee's will respawn allowing you to change the respawn time of the banshee's. Personally I'd recommend two or three minutes so the gameplay but it's up to you.

    Also, for the stealth class, make it so they have 110% speed to make up for their lack of shield and buff their stealth.

    And because you could put like two more items on the map, maybe add a regen or power drain for the defender class to enhance their defensive play(make it easier for them to control trenches or get their without the hassle of getting snipe owned so quickly)
    Adding a overshield to the defender class would also beef them a bit.

    Sniper&Assault Classes are pretty well set up as is.

    By beefing the defender class and a little bit the stealth, it should be able to balance out the classes pretty well.

    The game itself seems very well thought out and obviously plays much more well than an foundry version I've seen of this. I'd really like this but my friends are grifball addicts. :/

    What i believe he was implying was that he wants the banshee to spawn in the game after 1 minute, but he's gotten complaints (like yours) that it spawns too often.

    I have an easy fix! Sort of. If you cleared up some items/budget, have the banshee spawn on a ledge above the combat area. set the banshee respawn time to 2-3 minutes, and after 1 minute have a grav lift spawn to push the banshee off! that way the banshee initially spawns after 1 minute and has whatever respawn time you want for it. Hope my suggestion helps.

    Some things bothers me though, first is the stealth class. 10% damage resistance is very low, and they get killed in one shot. Maybe you should make them have 25% damage resistance or something, or if that option isn't available, add minimal shielding. Second is the ability for everyone (except for the stealth class) to pick up weapons, for example: An assault class picks up a sniper rifle, allowing him to snipe from behind his deployable cover, or a gunner to pick up a sniper, and dominate both the trench that he's in, and the other trenches, and etcetera.

    Other than that, I have nothing more to say until I download it and play it sometime. I need to gather some players first, ugh.

    You could've interlocked, but I really don't know how that would improve gameplay. I'm looking forward to a V2 with mines, artillery strikes, obstacles, and tanks.

    I remember seeing a preview for this about a month ago. I thought it would be fun for a few plays, but this is awesome! It's definitly unique, and this forging is very nice. I would like to see more interlocking though. Great joob! Keep up the good work.

    hm this looks very fun but there are some problems that i can think of right now.

    1. The banshee. if one banshee kills the other than it seems almost impossible to kill the banshee on foot unless you are heavy class and in that case it might take to long for the turret to take it down because the banshee can just fly out of range recover its shields then go and attack the turreters.

    2. the stealth class. The fact that there one shot seems to make them way to easy to be killed because if someone notices that there radar is jammed, that means there is a stealth guy nearby so he could just spray bullets if he were heavy or assault. maybe make them three shots instead of one.

    3. not interlocking. this is a very small thing that bothers me only because of the asssualt class and if they throw a grenade, it may fall through a crack.

    4. weapon pickup. I think you should make it to where no one can pick up weapons. because if i was heavy, i would betray my teamate sniper take his sniper and keep my shotty and then i would dominate.

    Of course this is what i can only tell from your post, so i will give it a download and edit this post whenever i get a game on it. That might be a while though because all my friends are addicted to the new call of duty map pack.

    Other than that great idea(ive never heard of that game before) and the classes seem to be slightly balanced. i like the idea of the trenches but there is barely any cover which seems like it would make it impossible to push forward without the deployable cover, because if the snipers are good, they would easily pick you off.
