I'm actually a 47 in mlg. I've never been to event because none have been close to where I live, but I've watched several tournaments online. You're a 27 in MLG...the last 4 games you've WON you have went negative, no wonder they talk **** to you.
You can find trashtalking also in basically in sport. In high school you have a Rival, it's the same for anything else. Don't talk to me like I don't know what I'm talking about. So to answer your question, yes, you are wrong.

I have, but it is nowhere near as common as it is in MLG. It is everywhere, and it can't be helped, it's just the majority that I have come across have happened to be playing MLG MM. Of course I shouldn't single out one playlist for this, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks MLG is the most common playlist. If you want me to make a poll to reinforce this opinion, then make one yourself.
Also, I can post what I want within forum rules, and it doesn't "hurt my feelings", it's just sad that that is how people choose to spend their life.

Just because I don't go out of my way to make friends here...that's probably why. That, and I just don't give a ****. I speak what's on my mind whether it's offensive or vulgar.

So how are you only a 27 and know everything about the playlist and the different kinds of people? It seems to me when you get higher in rank more people settle down and just play to win. Sure some teammates get pissed off if someone makes a mistake, I know I do, but that's just the competetive side of the playlist.

I got a couple Gts anyways...
GT: My Hole Itches; UofI Vandals

I never said I was better than anyone or that I was MLG. You were the one that asked me my rank and assumed I was below a 25.
I's sorry that you or other people have a problem with me...but it's just not my problem, and I don't care and I want to "emphasize" on the I don't care part.

Bro noone wants you to care, its just funny that you seem to be such a sociopath that you come onto threads and start with other players. Im not even going to go into the fact of how immature it is considering that you have no idea who your talking to on the other end of the computer/console.(even though for the most part its not a big deal lol) But like I tell anyone online that talks tough or arrogant, while you are busy being a teenage boy, playing halo and trying to be better than everyone else, some of us (including myself) are currently working on making the games you love to play. In essence everyone should really just learn to accept it as a game and i think everyone would have much more fun, without the hatred. Like to be honest Im sure you are a great player, honestly, but when players spend to much time just arguing over frivolous stuff, it takes so much out of what the game was really meant for...fun!

Funny for you to say all of this, it is flattering. You called me out, not the other way around.
The best part about your quote is in bold. You say how it is immature to know who you're talking to on a forum like this, but yet you go on about me being lower than a 25 in MLG in your other post and how I don't work on games that I love to play.
You assume I don't know anything about computer developement or design, but I am majoring in Virtual Technology & Design and it deals with 3d animation, graphic design and architecture. You are nearly 100% wrong about me, which is reasonable since this is a forum and I woudln't suspect anything more, but try not to assume too much.
But I'm going to go out on a limb here and just assume that you won't comprehend what I am trying to help you understand. Because of this I just want to apologize beforehand if this just seems too unimaginable.
    Thanks.

To be frank, I am very pleased to hear that actually. I love to see more and more people taking part in the developmental process of the gaming and technology world. I just find it hard to believe your moral of intelligence when you seem to have such a problem with such a vast amount of players here on the forums? Especially in the field of Virtual Tech. & Design, where people and personal skills are a MUST! But hey thats just little ole' me I guess...You are right though I did assume that you were a lower ranked uneducated player when I saw your first couple of posts and then saw your profile page with all the complaints from other players. My apologies for underestimating your intelligence if you are indeed being truthful to the fact. But I still stand strong behind my theory that to many arguments are due to excessive egos on not only the MLG playlist but others as well. But presumably stronger in the MLG playlist. Granted this is just a presumption from my own perceptions. Even still I would lose the ego you seem to hold so high when you are in these forums, especially being a booster on both accounts without a 50. And that is not a dis in any way, honestly. The account that you see here was boosted lat year in doubles, but I have diligently been working by myself on all of the ranked playlist to significantly increase my ranking. It just doesn't help your cause. And especially if you are as good and as intelligent as you do indeed seem to be! The community has enough players with egos and negative attitudes, it definitely doesn't need it from a more educated player such as yourself, as well as my apology for assuming alot about you.

    I'm very pleased to hear that you understood what I was trying to get at. I was certainly not trying to be a **** in any way I was just coming off strongly about what I believed. And about the accounts without 50's, well I have a few accounts with 50's in TS & Doubles that I play on regularly, besides if you can get a 47 or even a 45 in MLG you most likely can get a 50 in TS or Doubles. I assume you wll be asking for those account as well, Trig Happy WTF; x BR iz Cold x;
The only reason why I would be negative towards anyone is if they did something or posted something ignorant. This is the kind of stuff that really pisses me off. I suppose stupid people will be stupid so I just try to cope.
Anyways, I'm fine dealing with the people in m major, although there are some kids that are complete dipshits and are probably some of the nerdiest kids I know. I interact with them and all, (there's about 70 kids in my major), but I wouldn't find myself befriending most of them as I like to party with friends and go wakeboarding and be with my girl. None of them seem to do the same, except probably play halo. Ha.

Lol I know what you mean dude! In my major of Computer Network Systems and game design I have alot of guys that I talk to and are nice to but only like 2 of them I actually talk to out of school lol. I usually hang with my gf play halo and hang with my friends, the guys in school are pretty cool, but some are just idiots.

I've got a 46 in MLG as of right now and honestly it's the opposite of any other playlist, the calm and collected kids in the playlist are in the higher ranks. Most of them are pretty nice and fun to play with.

No offense to anyone, but most of the kids who talk smack in MLG playlist are the team slayer kids that got a 50 in TS or boosted to it and think their the stuff cause of that.. the immaturity stops when you get to the truly skilled players at around 43. Although you may be unlucky enough to get matched up with 35's at times if your a 40-43.

I'm at a 33 right now in MLG, right smack dab in the middle of all the arrogant kids who can't get their 50's, know that they are superior, and blame everything on lag, teammates, and host. It's absolutely detrimental to the community at large.

However, online aside, you have to be a bigger fan of MLG than that. I went to MLG Columbus (first event), and everyone there is cool, everyone you play with is optimistic, and they are not whiny little kids. It looks promising if you see attitudes like that, and I had a ton of fun there (which is suprising, and also unfortunate, my clan's team will be at MLG Dallas and I can't go).

I also got a lot of expert opinions on Astros (aside from the people who commented how expensive they were, yes, I could see the price tag thank you), and I ended up taking a pair home from that event (all of the cables confused the heck out of me at first too). Kind of random, but it's better than being chided for buying them.

My conclusion: MLG could go places, but there are a lot of people in the community who are not helping that progress.

I don't think you get how the postgame lobby works.

Say "Good game!" and you get "nice" responses.

Say "Wow, you BKs are garbage!" then you get mean responses.

I find that MLG players have 2 sides, depending on the responses. I've been invited to play with people I don't know from the other team because I said "Good game."

I lol'd @ the part about the Astro headset dude. Its a great sounding headset, I picked mine up at MLG Orlando (Go old Triggers Down!!) but after about 3 months it crapped the bed on me and then when I got a new one shipped out, they sent me back all the same parts 0_o!

I hear this a lot, and I seriously hope you're right. Occasionally I get a 45+ in MLG in the game, and tbh they're generally pretty mature and friendly. Generally it happens when they're with a lower ranked friend who's actually just as good as them, and of course I lose, but in my experience they're nice in the post game lobby even after walking all over me and the 3 randoms (I barely ever go in with friends tbh).

As of right now, I'm bobbing around the 35 mark, and you're damn right about the boosters and suchlike. People come in with a boosted 50 in TS and think they can talk trash left and right, I get the good ol' "Grade 3 Colonel, BK!" stuff. But it's pretty satisfying to roll right over 50's with my 2 bars n stars, even though this somehow makes them talk trash more in the post game rather than realising that, actually, a boosted 50 means squat in terms of skill once your opponents are colonel or above.

I really want to get to that post 45 mark in MLG, partly cause I would like a Brig tbh and just can't be bothered to play any other ranked playlist to get that high, the only other one I'm even close in is Doubles (43 right now), and I just hate Doubles nowadays, MLG is pretty much the only ranked playlist I can be bothered with apart from Squad Battle. Hopefully the tales of maturity up there have at least some truth in them, though this is Halo and I'm under no illusions that it magically turns in to a land of maturity once you get past 45, there will always be tards. My only reservation is that just getting there on my own is a tough road. I know I have what it takes to go at least 45 in MLG with the right team, I'm a good support player and can really rock CTF when I'm on. But with the lack of a serious 3 others to go in with, and people quitting out left and right most games, it's far from a sure thing.

@ OP: I think MLG has a lot of life left in it yet, if only because it's side as a capitalist venture seems to be hitting a new stride. Even then, you have to remember where all this "I'm Pro" attitude comes from and thrives, that being the MLG playlist mainly. The playlist was an addition to the community, and as such it will never really take away from what was there before, only layer it with a sheen of annoying kids who give MLG a bad name to the rest of the Halo community.

It's true that the influx of new 'talent' in the form of beastly slayers who don't think that there's anything more to winning than that is becoming more prominent in GB and the like. It's becoming more visible at events even, with all this team switching to find that 4 superstar roster, something I think is really bad. But then you only have to look to Str8 to see that solid strategy (Elamite is a beastly strategist, underrated in that respect if you ask me, even though so many pros tout him as exactly that) and a rock solid team mentality (exactly what is lacking in this constant switching that's becoming more and more prominent) will always win through. Though it does help that Str8 also happen to be 4 superstars on top of that...

My best rank in MLG is 23 and i always get kids that talk smack to me because they think are so good even if they just lost to my team. I always play with one of my friends and we feel there is no need to get super mad or blame other ppl for our mistakes or if we lose. i have only met a couple of chill ppl on MLG and im pretty good friends with them ovr live now.

I agree wholeheartedly. I'm not much a fan of MLG, but the fact that today there are so many people that have "MLG" in their Gamertag, even though their not MLG. Also, people consider themselves MLG if they are 50 in an MLG Playlist.

OH... MY... GOD. GROW THE **** UP PEOPLE.

Seriously, you guys need to stop whining like a bunch of two year olds. There are maybe, oh, 50 threads about people saying MLG people are dicks because they think they're sooooo cooool. It has nothing to do with the playlist. It depends on the ****ing person. Do you hate beer? No. Do you hate drunk drivers? Yes. There is nothing we can do about it, and if you REALLLLLY think it's necessary to ***** about it, don't make ANOTHER pointless thread that accomplishes absolutely nothing. It's spam, and a pretty over done way to spam too.

it's usually the people around my rank (9 rofl) they like to think they're really good because if they get promoted up to a leutenet, they thought they were awsome. i think that some mlg teams, should make new accounts and go into the playlist, wrecking all the noobs that think they are good.
