Co-opstacles Silverfish30 Prepare for a gaming experience unlike any other!!! Map: Co-opstacles Game Variant: Co-op This is an obstacle course that is unique. Many players are familiar with obstacle courses that have made their way to bungie favs, but this one has never been seen before. It is an obstacle course that requires you to work with a partner to complete it. The players spawn with magnums and are immediately given their first challenge, to get up the wall to the gravity lift. But in order to do so, they must work together .There are many other obstacles just like this one that require skill and working outside the box to ensure that the VIP reaches the finish. This is the first map I have ever submitted to forgehub, so if anyone has any comments about how I could improve anything, feel free to message me either here or on bungie.net (my username is the same). Any criticisms of the map are encouraged as I want to make it as good as it can be. This map requires a special gametype named Co-op. This can be found on my fileshare. this map looks very well forged and i honestly have never seen a obstacle course that involves 2 people, i have a few questions though, can it be used with more than 2 people? and say one of the partners die, would they be able to say spawn on their team mates or is it pretty much over? if so i would suggest putting in checkpoints like in jump mans jumper: expert. i will DL it and give it a proper rating later.
no it cannot support more than two, and about the spawning with their teammate, i have tried that but i cannot get it to work. after u download it, feel free to give any more helpful criticisms I just figured out how to do checkpoints and though i may not include it in this map, i may include it in a later version of coopstacles
Ooh, I have seen a few 2-person obstacle courses before but this one is intresting. I have never before seen the rail-banshee before very original on that and also that the course isnt just obstacles, it looks very nice to with aesthetics. Good job
you should fix the problem that if one person dies he cant spawn with his teammate. maybe you should try making the gametype team spawns (i forget the actual name but its in spawn settings) so that the two people have to spawn at the same time. so if one of them died, the other would have to die, then they would spawn at the start and start all over just like in a single player obstacle course
Actually a co-op puzzle has been done before (I've personally made 3 myself,) but no matter, it's always great to have more! The map looks good, but is that the whole thing? It looks kind of short, but I can't really say that because I have not played it yet. I'll download it and be back with a review.
It was a good map, very fun to do with friends, but the one thing I didn't like was the gametype... There is a betrayal penalty and a suicide penalty which got kind of annoying because it took so long to spawn. Another thing I noticed that was wrong with it is that there was so many breaks in the map that I could finish it on my own, without a partner... I could send you the video if you want to fix the breaks or whatever, but otherwise it was a very fun map.
O sorry, I meant I could do almost all of it on my own, everything except the beginning to get the grav lift. But I'll still send you the video
The custom power-up still made it so you run fast and jump high. And the bruteshot can help you get on top of the banshee building, so you can just walk across.
This map was fun for a while, but it was much too easy and way to short. As tylyr1 said, each obstacle except the first can be completed without a partner. If everything required your partner to beat it, it would be much more interesting and a lot more fun. Though it is a nice change of pace from other jump maps, there is a lot you could have improved upon. If it is revised, and includes more, harder challenges I will be happy to play it again, but for now, 3/5 YouTube - Halo 3 - Jump Map - Co-op-stacles Complete
dude i played this with my friend andy. it was by far one of the most original co-op puzzles ive ever played! one thing though is it was kind of short but as far as everything else goes it was great. also my friend found a way to get the banshee out of the track? which i guess isn't that bad cuz he cant really advance in it but still
An idea for checkpoints: blocked teleporters. Have receiver nodes with movable objects on top of them placed throughout the course, with a corresponding sender placed at the start of the course. As you reach each checkpoint, unblock the receiver.
