    EDIT: The Drop Pods have been removed, & the ODST Starting Points have been moved closer to the fortress.

    The ultimate ODST experience, FORTIFICATION! It is a HUUUUUUUUUUGE fortress of incredible proportion. Don't believe me? Here's a preview:

    Anyway, here's the lowdown on how the gametype, FIREFIGHT (C), works.

    FIREFIGHT (C)
    5 rounds
    5 min.
    Respawn synchronization with team
    Random Zombie select
    Friendly Fire is ON

    Humans/ODSTs
    The ODST's have no shields, but 500% resistance, so they can take several huge blows & still survive. They run at 90% speed & have 150% Gravity, start with the SMG & Magnum + Grenades. They're immune to headshots, so no cheap one-shot kills from the Carbine. Default color is black. There can only be up to FOUR (*4*) ODST's in a game. Player Count Rules are as follows:

    5-7 total players = 2 Humans/ODST's
    8-11 total players = 3 Humans/ODST's
    12-16 total players = 4 Humans/ODST's (RECOMMENDED)


    Also, the ODST's can pickup weapons, but cannot drive vehicles (what vehicles?). The weapons the ODST's can use on the map are:
    • Their default weapons, SMG & Magnum.
    • Shotguns
    • The Rocket Launcher
    • The Sniper Rifle
    • An MGT
    • The Missile Pod
    • The Spartan Laser
    • The Flamethrower
    • Trip Mines
    • Any Covenant weapon they can scavenge
    Zombies/The Covenant



    Basically the same as the ODST's, but a few major differences. They have 200% Gravity. They have shields, but only 200% Damage Resistance. Default weapon is the Plasma Pistol. They can be shot in the head, but their only concern is the Magnum. They can drive vehicles like the Ghost & Wraith, but they only pickup weapons for 10 sec., then they're disabled from picking up anymore, due to respawn settings. They have no motion sensor, & their default color is purple. Now the complex part. They spawn in one of four Covenant Boxes. Shown below:

    Needler (x2/8; no: 20 sec.)
    Fuel Rod Gun (x1/2; no: 90 sec.)

    Overshields (yes: instant respawn)
    Spikers (x4/14; yes: instant respawn)
    Spike Grenades (x2/14; yes: instant respawn)
    Brute Shot (x2/8; no: 60 sec.)
    Gravity Hammer (x1/1; no: 180 sec.)
    Custom Powerup (x1/1; no: 180 sec.)

    Overshields (yes: instant respawn)
    Plasma Rifle (x4/14; yes: instant respawn)
    Plasma Grenades (x2/16; yes: instant respawn)
    Needler (x2/8; no: 30 sec.)
    Carbine (x2/14; no: 60 sec.)
    Energy Sword (x1/2; no: 120 sec.)
    Active Camo (x1/2; no: 120 sec.)



    Last Man Standing
    The Last Man Standing becomes a Spartan. Basically, your stats are completely normal. Think of it as playing the default Slayer. Weaker than the ODST's, the Spartan must rely on his manuverability & speed to survive. Or, just hi-jack a Wraith...

    Some cover for the advancing Covenant (front). It is all strategically placed. Note the Plasma Cannon. (EDIT: The Plasma Cannon has been moved to the back of the fortress.)​

    If you take the front entrance (the one with the MGT above it.), take a left, & you'll reach this Lookout. Either go up the stairs or go to the window to use the MGT.​

    Going upstairs from the Lookout leads to the Sinper Rifle Spawn plus the upper floor of the fortress.​

    If you jump accross the upper floor to the Walkway, you'll find the Rocket Launcher Spawn.​

    If you go around back, you'll find a back entrance (1 out of about 5). They lead to the same area; the Flamethrower Spawn. The Missile Pod can be reached by going up the Ramp & right.​

    If you go straight after you get off the Ramp, you'll find the Air Pad, which houses the Spartan Laser Spawn.​

    If you take the back entrance(s), you'll be inside the Storage Tunnels, located underneath the Air Pad. The Flamethrower Spawn is located in the Storage Tunnels.​

    If you're lucky, you'll take the Teleporter that will lead to the Ghost Spawn, which is located in the front, but is way out on the hill. (EDIT: The Ghost does NOT appear at the start, it resapwns after 60 sec.)​

    If you're even more lucky, you'll reach the Wraith Spawn, located waaaaaaaaaay out on the right side of the fortress, beyond the Guardians (Yes, they are, in fact, blocked). However, the Wraith doesn't spawn until after 120 sec.​






    Extra Notes:
    • Guardians ARE blocked.
    • The Custom Powerup in the Brute Box gives you 3x Overshields, 200% Damage Resistance, a 125% Damage Modifier, 110% Speed & 100% Gravity, your color is changed to red, & the duration of it all is 60 sec.
    • Respawn Time = 3 sec. + 5 sec. for penalties
    • There ARE Geomerged objects on the map, but only outside the fortress.

    The map looks awesome

    I love every thing about the map the only thing is that the base could use a litte more merging and the drop pod idea and brute,jakal,grunt, and elite spawns are good ideas also. Good job btw i will be sending you that message.

    I'll join too I suppose, I've been helping test a few firefight maps recently. And yes Benzu, MST mean mountain time. Did you come up withe drop pod designs yourself? Or did you use my or Awkward Silence's design? Anyways, it looks okay layout wise from the pics, allthough I can already see some minor bumps.

    At first glance though a pic like this makes the base look really messy imo.

    Alright, thanks. Remember, I want at least 12 people, so if you've got any friends online around that time, willing to help test it, invite them. Rifte, did you send me that "ODST Test Invite" message? Because if I'm inviting you, I need to remember who I'm inviting. With the drop pods, half is yes, half is no. I saw your ODS3 map's drop pods, but I made the drop pods a little different to my specifications. Either way, I'd use Barricades. Also, what bumps?

    ok this map looks amazingly planned out for starters, i love the different spawn species and the whole idea of this map.
    The layout of the base looks kinda messy , yet nescessary.
    geomerging and merging looks awesome.

    i think every aspect of this is brilliant, cant wait to test it out, even though im in england and its 12.30 am

    ill try to play tomorrow.

    Thanks for all the good feedback everybody, & thanks to those who participated in my somewhat mediocre test run. Some of my friends joined in & ruined it because they were talking a lot, so I couldn't really ask for the Forge Hub members' opinions. So, I'll start another game anytime. If you want to play, just message me. Also, after playing the game, there are TWO (*2*) things I plan on fixing:
    1. Moving the Plasma Cannon to the back.
    2. Putting the Ghost on delayed spawn for 60 sec.
    This is because the ODST's were overwhelmed at the very start by a barrage of Plasma fire & the Ghost attempting to ram them. Expect these re-edits sometime today.

    I recommend you get rid of the turret.. Or maybe just limiting it to just 1. Or is there only 1? Because when I played with you, the turret honestly felt waaaay too overpowering, I lasted for a while with it and it only took like 3 shots to kill. The only reason I died was because of a needler swarm.

    The Plasma Cannon or the MGT? The Plasma Cannon was moved to the back anyway, & the MGT is only good for the front of the base, which is why there's a back entrance(s). Also, if you're on the very large hill with a Beam Rifle, or you're in a Wraith, the MGT is pretty much dead. Also, there's only one of each turret, to answer your first question.

    Okay, I'm sorry I couldn't join you on your test run. But you should host another sometime, at night. Friday night, that'd be really popular. Then I could really see this map in action!

    Yeah, next time I'm in a large party (which is easy to come by for my friends list.), I'll try to remember to invite you. I wish I've seen this message earlier, because all day today, three of my friends each had a large party, & I got the chance to play the map about 4 times, all being absoluetly excellent & tons of fun (sorry if I'm torturing you a little bit...)!

    I played this map a couple days ago, and I suppose it was okay. But I thought that the building was too closed in and it made it too easy for the humans. Maybe if the hallways were wider or there were more entrances but I don't know. I also don't really like how the elites lose all their shield in the beggining... as long as you stay inside the building, the only thing that can really kill you is the needler. Another thing was the DOST pod. To me it felt a bit...meh. I don't even realize i'm in it when it starts, so it's not very... 'satisfying' if you will.

    Overall a fair map, I thought that there could have been improuvements here and there but still a good job nontheless. I like how the building is made though, I can imagine it being used great with a couple other game types.

    I got rid of the Drop Pods altogether, so don't worry about those. And yes, the Needler is the weapon that seems to kill the ODST's the most. But that's why you MUST use cover!! I put it up for a reason. People are so used to the super-human Spartan, I feel, that they forgot the essentials of warfare. Also, when you spawn as the Brute OR Elite, it is EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED YOU PICK UP THE INSTANT RESPAWNING OVERSHIELDS!! Also, there's already about 7 entrances to the base. Some are on the side, but the most are in back for the Covenant so they don't have to go all the way around to get inside. Also, the point is for the ODST's to try & survive AS LONG AS THEY CAN, so the ODST's are going to have to have some kind of advantage, right? Isn't that how most, if not all, survival games work?

    Alright, I think I've played enough games of this to say that this is a heck of a fun game! I've already played it with six (*6*) groups, all of different sizes. The best size is definitely 12-16 players (4 ODST's).

    whats with the whole copyright stuff if it doesnt even follow Firefights rules, such as the enemie types (theres no elites), the weapons (way to many for it to be compared to firefight), and the spawns (in firefight theres no drop pods.)

    Edit: After reading the entire thing I found even more issues, such as Firefight being 5mins... since when? Its suppose to go on forever so why make it end in 5 mins...With all these faults its pretty far from being the ultimate firefight odst experience...
