Polished Lake Created by PolishedLake = SlaheI2 [br] Download Polished Lake Here:Bungie.net : Community : Forum Topic Listing : Forum Reply Listing Map Description: After looking at Shihuru's map, Shihuruville and seeing how it was named after him i thought about making a map named after my gamertag. Thus i created Polished Lake. It is a whole lake with vacation styled buildings. There is a snack bar, a fountain, picnic tables, a hill, a mysterious house, and a dock with a boat. I filled the house with what looked most like furniture and included a bed. The fireplace hides a way to the 2nd floor which is an armory. I put an armory there because i imagined it as my room and i like to collect guns but in real life, i gots no money : ( The armory has weapons mounted on walls which is a nice touch and also has a secret roof entrance. There are some hidden cool stuff in this map and i hope you'll enjoy the 12+ hours put into this. The hill and almost everything is interlocked. What whitelime thinks I really like the look of this. i seem to get the feeling of a lake which is good. even though its in the aesthetic section i believe that you could make this into an alright map with like a broken boat sunk in the water for a second base, if you have any materials left. But i really liked the first picture and how you mounted the guns on the walls the hill is also a nice touch.

Gorgeous looking map you have right here. I can safely say I've never seen a map that looks like this and one that just has that unique feel like this. Love the lake and the house and all the other little bells and whistles to put onto this map. Hope you cook up some more cool maps like this.
how did u mount the weapons? also, i love the map, very creative... i think i might make Zstrikeport or something lolz... i also love the snack bar, it looks really cool...
Hey, thats cool. Who needs combat maps? These kind of maps are my favorites. I wonder what would happen if you drove a warthog onto the lake? Hmm.... lots of bouncing...
thanks for all the comments guys, they mean a lot. Heres a tutorial of how to mount the weapons: All you need to do is interlock a weapon holder into the wall and make it sideways. You also need to make the holder face the right way and make it turn a little inside to where you want to put the weapon. Then all you need to do is put the weapon on the wall where the holder is until you feel it "stick" and wallah. p.s. if you want to understand more, if you've downloaded the map, then just delete the wall or make it not spawn at the start and you can see it beter. oh and BTW, Kad, you should really know that you aren't allowed to directly say fail because its against the rules and to save you time here is the link: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6933

Very nice and looks creative. I can see a huge rush for the armoury, which should be interesting. It all looks very neat and the little touches (bed, picnic benches, etc.) all look great. Good job! ~SS
thx for all the positive comments guys. when i made the map, i was really trying to give the "summer home" type of feel and i think it turned out great. and when you drive a vehicle like a chopper over the water its really funny to bounce
Wow man, just wow. Every idea you tried to put in here succeeded, and there's quite a few. Let me just mention the boat dock and the fountains, those are great, but so is everything else. I agree that with a bit of modification this could be playable for a few gametypes. You'd just have to spread out the weapons, make the wall a bit higher, and sprinkle in some spawn points. Don't even worry about it though, because as just an aesthetic, it's already very winly.
yeh thx man. oh and by the way i am currently working on a hide and seek map variant but have run into the item limit. but because i used the money glitch(it would have obviously been impossible without) you can delete some of the extra stuff. i kept the stuff there for people to edit. p.s. heres another random thing to do while you're in the map. i placed some plasma grenades around the lake to act as stones that you can skip across the "water". see how many times it can bounce in one throw
First of all - this is a wonderful map. The only slight problem I see is that the lake looked just a little bit bigger than the amount of shield doors you had. I mean it still looks fine, and to change it now would require more materials and effort than necessary. But wow-brilliant.
