yeah i understand you guys are all being sarcastic, but i wanted a real response. just lock this thread plz.
I brang my xbox up to college last year. I didn't have any problems. Just make sure you and your roomate lock up your door when you leave. College Theft happens the most around the first few weeks in. Most colleges do not have "Renters Insurance".
If you're just going to lock your door, you should make sure your roommate isn't a total d-bag. It's pretty rare, but my cousin's roommate stole money from him once.
If your college dormitories have individual rooms, then it should be fine. The dormitories in the boarding school I went to were ****ing pathetic: you shared an "area" with someone else which meant no privacy, and if you left something on your desk anyone could swipe it (best boarding school in Queensland my ass). If the cupboards in your dormitory are able to be padlocked, i'd say that is your safest bet. You're probably not the only one bringing a 360, so mark it or something. If you've got a lockable room, then make sure your room-mate isn't a d-bag.
As everyone said, if you have your own dormitory with a lockable door, you should be fine. No unnecessary precautions should be taken like putting the thing in a safe, then going trough that process whenever you want to play/or done playing. Something I would do if you're really unsure of how protected the console is, is to put it under your bed, or by your bed to make sure no one will rob it after dark. Tagging it with your name is also a good idea. I presume that if someone was to randomly receive an xbox in the college, it would be quite easy to determine who stole it.
Yes, you're correct. Almost no colleges have renter's insurance. Colleges are places people go to learn. Insurance companies sell insurance. So where do we get renter's insurance? At colleges silly...oh wait, see what i did thar.
maybe you should boost your karma level up to super good and have fawkes guard it for you that should work
You can close your own thread, which has the same effect. It's one of the options under "Thread Tools" at the top.
Oh, my bad. I never tried it before I was Premium. Well, if you want the thread closed, PM a mod with the link to this thread, and ask him to lock it.
