Why do they insist on continuing to use classic music??

I want a guitar game that has ALL modern music with lots of metalcore, deathcore, post hardcore, and maybe even some keyboard stuff (Attack Attack is the only one)

They're making a modern hits game, where only music made within the last decade will be available. I think that might have been for the DS though...

I don't see what the big deal is, I like the older music. Helps me find hidden gems.

Where is all the metal, hardcore and grindcore stuff. Theres like maybe one or two songs in each one. Why can't we have a Guitar hero: Ultimate super screamo edition?

I only like about 10 or less of these songs... gah that sucks. Oh well, I didn't know the majority of the songs so they might be great.

Because Screamo/Death Metal is like the least popular genre of music and sales would suck.

That doesn't keep them from adding it in. And if you compare it to the people that play guitar hero or rockband I'm sure it's definitely not the least popular genre.

It doesn't keep them from putting it in a game, but it keeps them from making an entire game dedicated to it. Even if it did even out and Screamo was actually semi popular with the fans, it'd be too risky.

Well of course they wouldn't dedicate an entire game to it. I was just saying they could add it in, they never just stick to one genre (aside from spin-offs) anyway.

But they have added it in. BFMV did a song in GH:WT and the song Visions was in RB2. They've also had screamo DLC packs for both the games.

Oh, I didn't know this. I would have downloaded them back when I still played it. But still, I don't see why they wouldn't add in a screamo song or four into the song list that comes default with the game.

-Bon Jovi - You Give Love A Bad Name
    -The Police - So Lonely

These, in my opinion, are the only songs that make me want to get the game. I guess Guitar Hero has run it's course with me, I won't be buying this one.

Guitar Hero 2 and 3 were the only good ones for me, mostly because I played GH2 for only a week or two before GH3, and GH3 was still new to me for awhile. I like the type of game, but I hate most of the music. . . Each one only has a few songs I enjoy.

I myself was very pleased with Guitar hero 2 and 3, especially number 3. They both provided songs that I thought were great choices for the game. Hell I doubt I'd be listening to Aerosmith constantly if they didn't release a guitar hero for them. I guess once World Tour came out I didn't like the setlist they had on that, although there are a few songs on there that I would tag as "decent", I would've preferred the Legends of Rock setlist over World Tour any day.

I really enjoyed GH 2, GH 80's and GH 3. I played GH2 for a few years, beat 80's which had some crazy fun songs, then I got GH3 and mastered that. World tour didn't appeal to me because of the whole "band" thing. Also, I don't get why they limit the list so much. They should have AT LEAST 100 songs on the regular play through. And 50 bonus songs. Not to mention countless downloads and free downloads. I feel like they're slimming down our playlist and I don't like that feeling. Maybe when they get their act together and start giving us 200+ songs per game I'll start coughing up some money. Until then, I'm gonna keep playing GH3 and enjoy myself.

Eh... WT at least had Little Wing (even if it was a Pay For DL) there are few songs that would make me buy a GH game purely based on that one song and that was one of them. They have All Along the Watchtower for this but it's the Bob Dylan version which includes singing so bad that I would be hairless by the end of the song... Also it has Arctic Monkeys which means that it is essentially an insta-fail.

First GH/RB to include an Enter Shikari or Pink Floyd song gets my instant buy.
