Here's a list of games pushed til 2010 so that they can "fine tune" their games. We all know the actual reason is so they can avoid trying to compete with MW2, H3 ODST, Uncharted 2, and some other heavy hitters. In no particular order: - Heavy Rain - Bioshock 2 - Splinter Cell: Conviction - Bayonetta - Dark Void - Red Steel 2 - I Am Alive - New Ghost Recon - (Most likely) Starcraft II Just a quick heads up for everyone. Post more if you know of more.
Wasn't Starraft not confirmed for 09 or any year? If Red Steel 2 is what 1 should have been, I'm a bit disappointed. Haven't played through Bioshock 1 so no sleep lost on Bioshock 2. The others aren't even on my radar. Overall, Meh.
Starcraft is confirmed for late 09. It's mostly done and has been under work for 8 years, I doubt it'll get pushed back to 2010.
How can you say it's because they don't want to compete? Even if that makes sense, you cannot confirm it.
No I can't. And while I may not know that's the reason, I'm sure that was in the back of almost everyone's heads when they decided to delay the games.
Starcraft 2 is not confirmed, seeing as how Blizzard is set on a 6 month beta, and they haven't even launched it yet (last time I checked). Sad to see Bioshock 2 being delayed, the first game is amazing and the second should be even better. I haven't seen enough of I Am Alive to know of my interest in it when it comes to purchasing, but I wasn't aware of it (like Splinter Cell) ever being a 09 release. Regardless, can't say I am too upset with some of these delays. The reason being is not because I don't care about the games (most of them are solid titles that I am most interested in), but there are enough top notch games coming this winter season, and at this point I can't even afford one. This gives some more time to acquire wealth in order to purchase.
Okay, I can agree with you there. Maybe they were all thinking "You know it's good we're delaying because we don't have to compete" or something along those lines. But I'm sure all these developers aren't scared delay their games along with everyone else just to avoid it. You're not the only one, that's pretty much what I was looking forward to the most all year.
Well, no, I doubt it was the sole reason for any of these delays. It just made delaying the games just that much easier.
I second that comment. ;; Singularity as well. __ As I see it I'm fine with these delays. Come September I will be picking up GH5, ODST and The Beatles to add to my library.
I don't think there's even an expected release window for Diablo 3. I'd say probably Fall 2010. Although, I have no idea how far into development they are, so I don't really know.
I believe Mass Effect 2 was always planned on being released in 2010. There was never anything that lead us to believe otherwise. I'll check up on that real quick. EDIT: Nope, I searched and there was never any news of Mass Effect 2 being delayed.
Most people don't own a PS3 on FH. I do think it looks interesting, but I'm not dying to get my hands on it or anything.
I can only say- Thank God! I dont care for any of those games.... I could see myself playing Starcraft II because my friend showed me the first one and it seemed allright (for an old game) and a second wouldnt be bad. Bioshock would be allright, but I saw a trailer of a guy injecting himself and im thinking "He's on drugs!" and never felt like buying it....
They were delayed due to drop in sales recently. But I agree, there was probably a 1% reason in there that also said, "Yay 4 noes competin" Luckily for me, the only one there I was really getting was Bioshock 2, and it's only been delayed to January 4th, so that isn't horrible. I'll manage to keep occupied with MW2, Arkham Asylum, Assassincs Creed 2 and ODST. BTW, am I one of the only people getting Arkham Asylum? I know Linu is lol... but is anyone else? Comes out Aug 25th and I'm excited.
