So it turn out that both "The Guillotine" and "This War is Ours (The Guillotine pt 2)" by Escape the Fate are about the Halo Trilogy. The songs have references to Spartans, and the covenant, as well as violent lyrics describing war scenes. I would've enjoyed that more if he wasn't growling at me constantly. Besides that, it's cool there are songs about Halo out there.
"I am the master chief no one can mess with me saving the world from catastrophe unleashin' BXR's and killing sprees let's start a match, Team Slayer on Lockout battle rifles blazin'" My favorite part.
Headshot by My Child My Bride was pretty good, but I have always hated all of Escape The Fate's songs, and this is no exception. I do, however have more respect for them though. Video game songs are awesome, but better when the name doesn't hint towards them what so ever, which these two bands did well.
The names don't hint but the intro of This War is Ours definitly does! I don't mind screaming in songs but I don't really like screaming songs. I laughed at Headshot but theres no way I could save it to my iPod as music! Seeing as we're discussing Halo music and Halo in music, I might as well bring up Mothergoat (who's site doesn't want to load for me right now).
I saw them live not to long ago. I was SO dissapointed they didn't play that song. Show was still amazing, mosh from stage to door, none of that ***** hardcore dancing ****.
i saw them and they played it.. made a big deal about it... even sample the halo theme music to play before they started it. then i went and looked at their merch, and they had a shirt with MC bashing a grunt with their logo on it. I dont really like them, but i found it humorous.
To be honest, I always liked part 2 over part 1. Being a guitar player of almost five years, it's almost impossible to not love the second part over the first.
