Outlawed Map Name: Outlawed Description (as seen in browser): Final update of my Hang 'em High remake. If you liked the original, you'll love this. 4-12 players. Screenshots Looking up at blue base and the sniper tower from the middle of the map. Catwalks, OS platform, and sniper tower. Roof of blue base. Rocket spawn, and red base in the distance. Shotgun hallway inside blue base. Bottom ramps of red base. Top ramps of red base. Map Description In case you couldn't already tell, Outlawed is a remake of my favorite Halo map of all time, Hang 'em High. Almost every detail of the original map is present; the catwalks, the tombstones (somewhat accurately placed), the ramps (perfectly placed), the corridors within blue base, and the same exact weapon layout, with pistols swapped for BRs, and with half the number of grenades (as you can only hold half as many in H3 as in H1.) I have also taken the liberty to swap the two health packs for eqipment; one with a bubble shield, and one with a regenerator. It gives combat for this map an interesting twist, especially in CTF. The only element of HeH missing from Outlawed is the central trench. Adding a trench is possible, but to do so would require raising the floor with blocks, and such an amount of objects would take away from the details I painstakingly added. In order to compensate for the loss of cover, I added some tombstones to the ground. I feel that it does suffice, and that Outlawed still looks and feels almost exactly like its predecessor. hang em high had 2 shottys, not 4. the actual map looks alot like hang em high thoigh, and thats what counts. good work.
Loved the original, didnt you post it yesterday? Anyways i really dont think you need to post it again because you added a couple stones, i played it and felt it was already perfect. And if you do edit it just put v2 in the name, no need to say (final update)
there were 4. 2 in the hallway, and one in each of those "bunker things" on either side. I had Halo: CE running on Hang 'em High next to me on my laptop while I was forging this map, so trust me, every weapon is accounted for. I posted it in the aesthetics section yesterday. People were saying that it works better as a competitive map. If it's against the rules to post it in two places then I'm sorry, and I'll remove one. And "v2" wouldn't really be accurate. I decided against adding a version tag to it because I've updated it so many times. I haven't counted, but if I did, it would be up to about "v12"
Ok. Well f you ever need to switch which section your map is in, just ask a mod. You dont have to delete it and make a new one.
Everything looks spot on apart from the trench, which isn't there. You've done a great job on the rest though, one of the best remakes I've seen.
This looks like a great map, it looks a lot like the original the weapons are great and just like the original the only thing that would make this map better is if you had enough budget to add the floor and trench.
well, there's the decision with remaking HeH right there. Make the trench, or make the other structures accurately. I chose option B.
